Dio fronted Black Sabbath to tour in '07

Ronnie James w/ Sabbath

The highly anticipated reunion of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward appears to be shaping up and taking a new form.

After various promoters have approached their respective management; the guys have started taking all of this very seriously, as they have wanted to reunite for some time now. It looks as if the new shape may be that of Heaven and Hell. Yes, that's the moniker that the band is likely to use on their new venture.

If all goes well, Heaven and Hell should be hitting the road in early 2007.

This could be interesting, probably a bit sacraligious to admit this even though I'm an Early Sabbath fan I really liked some of the Dio/Sabbath stuff especialy Heaven & Hell and Dehumaniser albums.

Just hope its better than the Tony Iommi/Glen Hughes (Iommi Fused album) thing from last year, that was bloody terrible!

I wonder how long Ward will be able to hold up? I love old Sabbath, oops showing my age!

Heaven and Hell was a great album, IMO.

I saw the show at the forum last night, I'm an avid Ozzy lover, but Dio was absolutely freakishly ridiculously good.

Sabbath w/Dio '79 at Rockford Speedway was my first real overnight road trip after I got my drivers license. That brings back memories!

Dio has aged a little better than Ozzy. Still rockin on...
