Stijn,
The important thing - have fun & do what you enjoy. Then you'll look forward to it and keep it up.

Stijn, join www.bikeforums.net. If success stories on that board doesn't encourage you to continue, nothing will. Great job so far!

Thanks for that link. Took a quick look and registered. Dovetails with my desire to get back into road biking and to lose some weight.

Dan, check out the regional forum on BF. The SoCal guys ride and train together pretty often.

Noah,

First, I have never corssed paths with you but in 2 threads and in both you have been a total a-hole.

I expect to see BS meters on Honda Civic and RX7 forums frequented by 15 y/o boys not on a Porsche forum where 50 year old men post.

You have basically called me a liar and I am not a liar even though this is the "internets" I try to be as truthful as possible.

I am 5'8" tall with a medium build. 9 weeks ago I weighed in at an all time lifetime high of 178 lbs. As of this morning I weigh 156 lbs or a 22 lbs weightloss in 2 months and 1 week.

I am going out on my brothers boat Saturday with my 3 y/o and my little neice and nephew, I'll get my bro to snap a pic for you to see my 6 pack.

I hate dieting and when I set out to loose the weight I go at it 100% and get the job done, except this time around I have made some life chages and eating habit chages and I am determined to never have to hard core diet again.

I eat 4 scrambled egg whites every morning for breakfast, 4 more egg whites and a bannana for a mid morning meal, a chicken breast and salad for lunch and a bowl of low fat turkey chili (home made recipe in the biggest looser thread) for a mid afternoon meal.

Then I either eat a low fat low carb dinner my wife prepared or something fun since I was good all day.

This week I had for dinner:

Monday- 8 oz steak grilled at home w/ a baked potato and butter with 2 glasses of Chianti.

Tues - 6 wings and 2 draft beers at the local wing joint.

Wed - Baked chicken breast with a lemon pepper seasoning, sweet ptato and sald.

Thurs - 3 Beers at my brothers house I missed dinner completely and didn't feel like eating last night.

Tonight - I have another steak ready to be grilled for a repeat on Monday.

Saturday - My brother and his family are coming over and we are grilleg up, yeah, more steaks with some twice baked potatos and salad and lots of drinking.

Since you seem to be an expert on me and want to call me a liar I thought I would show you my lifestyle.

BTW - I also work out in the gym 5 days a week and put in 30-40 minutes of cardio 3 times a week.

I am about to increase my protien input and start building up some muscle I lost dieting down so low.

Sounds very promising, Stijn!

The biggest risk is to quite all together. Always better to do a little something than nothing at all. One tends to crave constant improvements. Donīt fall in that pit. Many times you will hate it, quit as you feel too tired or lost your enthusiasm. A lot of times the reason spells over training. Accepting that building a decent physic takes a long time is the key. Some days a couple of kilometers is good enough. Some periods a couple of weeks off is necessary.

At first I thought you meant running - 15 km in 30 minutes!?!

You mean bicycle, donīt you ??
