Question Forza 2 driving seat

With Forza 2 coming out next month, I would like to build a setup to include the chair and pedals. I have the steering wheel setup for the XBox 360, but I would like some ideas for the setup.

Any suggestions, relatively cheap to build, would be appreciated, David

Thinking about this too. Just so happens I have a pair of spare 944 sport seats sitting around collecting dust. Might become part of a "driving theater" if I decide the price tag is worth it (+/- $700 for the xbox, wheel, pedals & game, plus the likely cost of a new flat-screen to run it on - about another $1,200).

I've told myself that I won't allow myself to even go down and look until I've completed EACH and EVERY mission, race, challenge, etc. in Grand Turismo 4 first though - including all the rally events.

Here's what I put together a few years ago for my PS2 and it is still going strong. IIRC it was about $30 for the angle iron and nuts/bolts.

I still have a bunch of base shakers and amps I bought for a Home Theater project one time.

My son got this one last Christmas -- it is awesome!

He's only 5 and very nice about sharing

I thought about making my own, but it would've been a cob-job and not nearly as stable and adjustable as this one. For like $300 delivered to my door, it wasn't worth my time to dick-around in the garage for hours (days...weeks)...

The playseat pictured above can be bought at target.com relatively cheap. Also try gameracer.net

So what is the best wheel for a PS2 and playing GT3 and GT4? I'm not a hard core gamer, but those are two games I enjoy. I've tried a few wheels over the years, but they were all lousy.

My son and I cannot wait for Forza 2! Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll go with the Playseat. I considered making my own, but like "C" said, I would be at about the same range.

How goes the conversion Steve?

The Logitech wheel & pedal setup that was made for GT4 is awesome. I am curious to see if it works well (or at all) with the PS3, if/when I upgrade, or with other games. I'm still not 'done' with GT4 so not in a hurry to take on another game addiction soon.
