Joost was done by the Skype guys. They would not be getting broadcast deals with Viacom if they were not legit.

So it turns out that on May 1st they upped the invites from 3 to unlimited.
Excellent on the invite numbers! I had one left, saving it for a friend but now will spread it around a bit...

I tried to be smarter than everyone and found a hacked version of joost download that did not require an invite. I would have shared the link if it worked, but I get an error when I run it. So, if anyone has an invite to spare, you can email me: adupasqu (at) comcast.net.

No go... My laptop is still on XP, and it won't load. I had a little talk with my IT guy at work (me) about getting up to 2000. But real work has kept me from getting myself up to date...

If I need to 'return' the invite I can.

XP should not be an issue. The video card on the laptop is most likely the culprit.

It will NOT work on W2000, must be XP and may have to have Service Pack 2 to work....
