Do I really need to explain this purchase?

Just got this 13 amp beast with a reciprocating handle.

Wife: "Why do you need a Sawzall?
Me: "'Cause I'm a man, baby!"

Picked up one about six months ago. Cut a car in small pieces in about two hours...

Guess its a man thing...

Never know when you might need one. I have used mine on a number of projects. With an assortment of blades it will cut darn nearly anything!!!

I bought one when I was doing work in the kitchen. Had to cut & raise the kitchen cabinets & replace a section of subflooring.

In the whole 2 week job, my wife was only around to witness about 10 minutes of the work. Of course, that would have to be when I cut through a hot water pipe.

They cut fast, and they cut deep. I've learned to carefully scope out where (and what) I'm cutting.

there is something disturbing about a surgeon owning such a tool...can't quite put my finger on it.

Oh, no wonder...some bastard cut it off!

I'm tearing down a huge rusted awning in my back yard. Can't wait!

I'm supporting the whole structure with ropes then cutting the supports. I'll have the whole frame cut up and stuffed into the back of a pickup in no time. Woof!

Oh, how many times has my 20 year old sawzall has saved my ass

13 Amps is great. Until the blade jams and your body does the reciprocating.

Use with caution. And enjoy it, it's a well built tool.

My wife bought the same one for me a few years ago. For once she understood Man-Tool's. The sawzall, an axe demolition blade and a project is a beautiful combination.

Bob's right and very important is to spend some bux on good blades. I bought a cheapo unit and the blades with it were worthless. Went to HD and got some quality blades and it was like cutting butter with a hot knife...

Well worth having around the house and garage...

Many animals use tools. But only men use power tools.

:D

Moses, in my experience the question "Do you really need that too?!?" - is 9 out of 10 times something the husband ask himself. Note 'himself', because asking it out loud is not wise..

"car" = "body?" If so, then right there with you, great tool to have.
