I would like to see some documentation on that.
If it's true, they need to be sent home as well. This shouldn't be about Mexicans or race, though it's rapidly becoming so, it's about having control over who is allowed to enter the country. A government has not only the right but also the responsibility to exercise that control. |

Sorry but I'am totally against any type of amnesty, worker guest program or however you want to disquise it. My parents immigrated legally over 45 years ago and have done very well. This generation sees immigrating to the US as reaping (or raping) all the benefits here versus when my parents came here looking to become american citizens. Big difference both in attitude and long term outlook. Just ask any first generation cuban-american here. With all of the open protests, where is ICE or "La Migra"? Wouldn't these be perfect places to have mass roundups or is that against their policy?
|
**** no i'm not for any type of amnesty.
and if i didn't have a family to look after i'd be spending my weekends on the border with a big .50 and a lawn chair doing the job those pansy-assed politicians are so ****ing scared to do. pieces of dog**** giving away this country for the sake of cheap labor and potential votes. **** 'em all! |
as a follow up i'd like to say BRING OUR BOYS HOME and stick 'em on the mother****ing southern border.
this ****ing subject burns me up big time, i hope it's not too obvious:) |
I would suggest that if each of us hasn't called our senators and representative that we do it NOW and be heard. This thing looks like it's on a fast track, perhaps to prevent sufficient opposition to form.
CALL. NOW!! Jim |
When two border guards are still sitting in prison for shooting a Mexican drug runner, I doubt our soldiers would rather be here doing an even more thankless job, policing our southern border, catching, releasing and catching again the same criminals.

NEWS ALERT
from The Wall Street Journal May 17, 2007 Key senators and the White House reached agreement on an immigration overhaul that would grant quick legal status to millions of illegal immigrants already in the U.S. and fortify the border. The breakthrough came when negotiators struck a bargain on a "point system" that would for the first time prioritize immigrants' education and skill level over family connections. I assume that a bill still has to come up for a vote.
Jackals. Call/Write to object! |
Even more outrageous than the fact that this bill smacks the vast majority of Americans (and LEGAL immigrants) in the face is the sheer ignorance and arrogance of politicians who think millions of illegals are going to jump through all the new hoops put in place to become legal. Let's see, $5000 in fines, plenty more in back-taxes and fees, a trip back home every two years (lots of legal immigrants are even afraid to do this, since reentry is never a guarantee), even having to stay at home for one year between renewals (that's grounds for revoking a green card now!) and this is just never going to happen. I guess I'm sort of glad that 12 million people won't be made legal overnight. But what is in the water these politicians drink that makes them come up with this stuff that will never ever happen?
|
here's a thought; if they want to be legalized howsabout they spend a year or two in Iraq so our sons and daughters can come home where they belong.
there's more than a few illegal irish and russian kids running around as well that might enjoy a little desert vacation! |
Just sent a letter to my senators and congressman via their online forms.
|
Link it please!
Also how about a PM to administrators asking for a sticky on ALL forums providing a form letter regarding this issue. Doesn't have to be from Pelican Parts (though i'd be impressed if it could be). |
It doesnt take a soothsayer to see that the bill is convoluted with nonsense and uninforceable. I think it will pass so all the puke politicians can say look what we did and it will die as a blue law.. If they inforced the laws on the books we wouldnt have this problem now...These politicians are not going to put any teeth in it either. Capital hill is as effective as the UN. They want to save there asses saying they did something so you will vote for them next time... I'm sticking with Jim727 manifesto...

This is where you can find all the contact info for your elected reps.
http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/ Can't repost my letter, as I typed it onto the online templates on their websites. Didn't save it as a document. |
I am as much against amnesty as I am for prosecuting the employers. Seems most people forget that side of the equation. Just last night I saw a news item lamenting the fact that strawberry growers in Ventura can not find enough people to pick the strawberries. Seems many workers have found other better paying jobs. Of course, the grower was all for a guest worker program.
Prosecute the employers and there would not be an issue. |
Amnesty for illegals is a slap in the face to everyone who braved the sea of red-tape and jumped through the hoops to immigrate legally. My representatives and/or politicians for my area will be receiving letters from me very soon.
This bs really pisses me off. edit: And I fully agree with stevepaaaaaa. People who employ illegals should be prosecuted. Actually, I would go one step further and say that any company that knowingly employs illegals should be shut down permanently, assets seized, AND the responsible persons prosecuted. |
