You accuse the so-called liberals of precisely what many of them see as the most glaring fault with the far right: Inability to think independently lest they be "thrown out of the club" or under the bus. So-called "Extreme Right Wingers" always have to find someone to be at fault; never from their own group, just someone to point at and say "He did it." Although neither extreme myself, I never fail to be amused at just how similar both extremes are and both incapable of recognizing it!!!

Interesting, yet GW certainly did a good job of getting himself thrown out of the club.

It seems that what you are describing is the seedy nature of politicians in general, regardless of leaning.

Indeed.

I'm currently watching Bush take questions from a bunch of simplton reporters. Surprising that he doesn't still get hammered. ...having to respond to that group of dweeby chumps trying to appear witty with questions like "how come we haven't gotten OBL yet?" . . ."should we have left Saddam in power?"

genrex,

You are the man...His name was General Mc Cauliff of the 82 Airborne in the town Bastogne, encircled by the Nazis. (Battle of the Bulge) Why I brought this up was Patton said "Nutz.....Any man that Eloquent had to be sane.... And I believe he wrote it "NUTZ"....FYI

Robert... I think of World War II a lot. So much heroism, so much pain and sacrifice. The aftermath of that war seemed like a great opportunity to make changes to avoid future wars. I wonder if we could have done something differently.. :(

"Describing the seedy nature of politicians"......

BINGO!!

I, for one, would like a link to the post that moved you so profoundly.
