Dunno, but the REAL question should be, how long before it's integrated into porn sites?

And what ink and paint animators said about digital software. Now some of those people are looking for ways to implement their rent.

He's probably busy backdating e-mails as we speak.

Spectacular. How on earth am I going to reboot THAT from a CD, delete the partition, and reinstall the OS cleanly?

+1 Shuie. Not exactly what I was thinking, but I can imagine that any MS-designed interface is going to be clunky at best...

I think it's great. You just finished your Paris Hilton sex tape, last night, then innocently leave the camera on the coffee table. BAM! It downloads, formats a new website, and publishes it for you, while connecting to Google and spoofing it so that it is the number one site on the search engine.

Who here has used a touch screen or touch pad for anything? I use a touch pad everyday and it is a wonder they don't freeze up more. There is no tactile input response. Those panels "look" cool, but for any serious input, give me a keyboard.
Oh and don't talk to me about voice activated everything. Imagine if every office device required you to talk to it...how loud would that be? Imagine, every copier would have to have a foul word filter.

word is some gaming industry $ interest is high.
I'm not sure of the sensing tech(s) used but it's looking pretty cool (clean). Obviously, device recognition is a key component there. btw, I'm composing this post on a tablet computer, writing sloppy cursive, and yet the tablet can decipher my scribble. ... hmm I wonder if kids will be taught cursive again (I recently learned that cursive is "out" of the curriculum) ...then again, they will likely just use speech to text programs.(skip all of that "writing" mumbo-jumbo

This type of tech has been around for a while in research labs in the academic world; here is a good example - check the video out on this page: http://cs.nyu.edu/~jhan/ftirtouch/
One should also note that Apple announced a few months ago that similar "touch" technology is being employed in the iPhone, which product is due out before the end of June. I don't think Jobs will/would claim he invented this tech, but I bet anyone that he beats Microsoft at making it mainstream. Of course, there is a guy on Apple's Board who may claim that he invented this tech. ![]() Best, Kurt Edit: FWIW, my MacBook Pro's track pad already uses rudimentary touch-tech. It's hard going back to that old fashioned mouse after learning some very basic rules.

So far no announced delays from the original stated shipping time at the initial announcement. But, there has been anticipation/speculation for quite a while. I'm guessing they will sell a few of them. ![]() Best, Kurt Last edited by kstar; 05-31-2007 at 12:21 AM.. |

Computers are fine, I guess, and software, etc. But in the end, they seem to have the souls of gifted appliances.
Now a Mont Blanc - that's an instrument.

When Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer was asked his opinion on the iPhone he laughed and proceeded to bash the device for lacking a hardware keyboard.
Guess he does not get down to see MSFT RD that often.
