Forza Motorsport II - anyone have it?
Considering an XBox 360 JUST for this game. Crazy? Should I get a PS3 instead? Any good racing games coming out for PS3? I'm quite out of the loop on this stuff but LOVED GT3 and GT4 for the PS2. Those are the last video games I've played - and then I saw the demo of Forza the other day. Dayyyyy-ummmm. Me likey.

Forza 2 is worth getting an Xbox 360 for. It will be on the streets shortly, but trust me, it is good. No it is AWESOME.

PS3 has great graphics . .. but no wheel (yet) --ya gotta have the wheel -- makes x-box the better experience. (for the moment)

![]() Well actually, being an injection molded stucture using an amorphous polymer it has a high degree of anisotropic .... . . lets just agree; it's all about the wheel.

It's currently scheduled for May 19 release. I've had it paid for since January, and I'm chomping at the bit.
Anybody using X-Box Live? I'll be online with Forza II, that's certain. |

How will the "playability" of Forza compare to Project Gotham Racing? I was pretty good at the old Playstation Need for Speed-Porsche Unleashed, but I'm having trouble getting used to PGR.

Moses, my experience is with X-box driving games only. However, Forza is hands down my favorite driving game because the physics are so good. Lots of games allow you to slide your car around corners and keep your speed, don't toss you off the track if you go in too hot, let you drive like a bat out of hell letting the guard rail keep you on the road, etc. Forza does none of that. You go in too hot, you go off. Hit a guard rail, you're slowed *way* down. It really rewards smooth inputs and good lines.
I've got PGR II (III?) for 360, and it's probably the best PGR out, but the physics are a little lax compared to Forza IMO. So, if you are used to driving games, Forza will take some getting used to. It's more of a simulator. But I suspect you will grow to like it better because of it. |

Moses, I think Amail is pretty spot-on. I've played both NFS Porsche and R-Factor extensively, and they really demonstrate the difference between a game and a simulator. NFS is lots of fun, and I LOVE the choice of models, all the old 356s, Carrera RS, 930, 959, but it's SO forgiving. Rfactor is much more like real world driving, especially on a track I know fairly well in real life (Mosport). From the screenshots and videos I've seen of Forza 2, it's simulator-like in its playability, but adds a lot of the excitement (through flashy graphics and music) of a good game. It should be an awesome compromise. Too bad its release is in May, when I couldn't care less about sims, because I'm out doing the real thing. I'll be looking into it in the late fall, when I put the car away for the winter!

FM2 is out, and it rocks!
Cone killing, crashing with surround sound-ya feel it. The 930 drives like its on ball bearings .. the 1973 is better. . the 962 is awesome. PS3 has their work cut out ...

I have the original Forza and just love it. It is the only X-box game I play. If I got a 360 it would only be for Forza II

Question: I have the Logitech Momo wheel for the PC, USB interface. Any know if it use the same data interface model as the Xbox 360? Or in other words, will my wheel/pedal set work with Forza if I get a 360?

So the big question - is it worth going out and blowing 800 clams on?
I figure that's about the total out-the-door cost for the console, wheel, game, etc.

I just picked up a copy and I got a question for those of you that have it.
Is it just me, or is the screen extremely bright for you, I got a headached because of the brightness of the whites and yellows. I played with the bright/color/contrast controls with my projector but nothing seemed to cure it. Anyone got any ideas? Is it a bad game?

i was a big GT fan but 2 minutes with Forza and i haven't touched my PS2 since. GT has NOTHING on Forza.
i don't think i'm going to ante up for the 360 though. now that i actually have a 911 there is no extra money.
