Refrigerator thickness?
Anyone near a 26 cuft side by side refrigerator?
I'm moving in on Thursday and having a fridge delivered on Friday. I was at the house today and measured each of the doors going into the kitchen and none of them are larger than 32". I know I'll have to pull the doors off the fridge, but what is the thickness of the unit from the back to the sealing surface for the door. I think they are around 30+"s, but need to be sure it fits. Thanks!

I've been looking at refrigerators online. Go to lowes.com They list the dimensions of the refrigerators they sell.

I just took a quick look at lowes and it looks like most of the 26 cf side by sides are 28" deep without the doors.

Cool, looks like the model I have is 28.5" without the doors. No problem. One less thing to worry about.
Thanks!

Be sure to take into account the space needed for the doors to swing open. Guess who didn't do that when they installed their new GE refrigerator???

More advice...Years ago we were buying a fridge for our family cottage. We were very, very careful to measure the width so that it would fit into the space between the cabinets.
The fridge was delivered &, as we pushed it into place, it stopped. Turns out it was too tall -- it hit the bottom of the upper cabinet. We were so focused on the width that we did not even think about the height. I was just an old cottage, so we simply "notched" the bottom of the cabinet & slid it in. Don't make the same mistake we made!
