please help me computer guys.

i hope somebody can please tell me why when i set my computer to safe mode for cleaning ,is the cursor freezing up in the middle of the screen? when i run the cleaners in regular mode i have something called smitfraud that will not erase . when i get to safe mode the cursor won't move at all, if i use the up and down arrows i can't get to the "fix problems" box on the screen.
then the computer gifted me with some kind of unrequested virus protecter all on its own and kept running itself in spite of my trying to cancel it. when i finally was able to get rid of it, pop up city. grrrr... can someone please help me?
thanks.

You have a serious spyware infection. Do NOT do any financial transaction on the computer until this is resolved completely.

A clean up may be possible, but I would be more prone to moving your important data off to a removable drive and, wiping it out and doing a new install.

Smitfraud is very, very serious. And very difficult to remove correctly, if you don't think you can do it, get an expert.
