Sometimes it's too bad we can't comment in the cars for sale forum!

If I was well into the top tax bracket, one of these would probably be in my garage:

996 - GT3 RS Clone

There was one on display at the LA Auto Show last year (red on white). Gorgeous. I drooled. Most of the unknowing lemmings there were wondering why I was drooling more over that the RS the CGT. Not that I'd turn down either, really.

you can get used cup cars for a *lot* less than that. No way I'd pay that kind of money for that car.

I'd rather buy a brand new 997 GT3 RS. Sticker is $120K plus or minus.

Yeah, the prices do seem bananas. Nice cars, though.

The above is the kind of comment that caused the over-zealous reaction of banning comments. IMO, of course.

$120K? Oh, good heavens, I can't even imagine driving a car like that. I mean, I dream of one day being a good enough driver that I'm actually worthy of such a beautiful beast, but for now, I'd be just as quick in a $16K SC.

I guess 997 GT3 RS prices have come down. I was talking to a guy a few months ago with one on the way and he was going to get stupid money for it. I forget the amount, but he was looking at buying a Pro Mazda racer with the profit.

I did forget you could now buy RS's in the US.
