Tell me ten unusual things about you.
Tell me ten unusual things about you.
I'll start: 1) Less than a year after I was married I was in a car accident and spent six months in bed in hospital. Me, my mother-in-law and my mother all spent a lot of time together and became really good friends. 2) I have two ugly scars from the accident running from my hips to almost my knees. I don't like them but I don't try to hide them either. 3) I'm a heavy smoker, I drink intoxicating beverages and real coffee. 4) My feet hurt for years for no apparent reason. A shoe salesman solved it when he told me I was wearing shoes a size to small for me! Duh! 5) I collect watches. 6) I keep a pistol and my little Protech knife in my handbag. 7) My lawyer husband looks like one of the three musketeers with his long hair, moustache and soul patch. I'm a typical middleaged, conservatively dressed housewife. Our styles are very different. My beloved tattooed offspring, dresses like a biker chick, her lawyer boyfriend dresses very conservatively. 8) I used to collect comics, I sold most of them. It was enough to finance the restoration of our weekend cottage. I wish I could get my old favourites on dvd. 9) I devour old films and books. I can watch and read them over and over again. 10) I love old cars. I compete with my old hotrod Porsche in hillclimbs.

1) I lived in Japan twice for a total of about 5 years when I was younger because my father was in the Navy
2) I got a 780 on the math portion of the SATs (800 is perfect) 3) I've never smoked a cigarette or tried any illegal drugs in my life. 4) I bartended in topless bars for 5 years before I got into IT (and for the first year until my salary improved) (this makes #3 more amazing 5) I've never had any serious health issues, no glasses, no accidents, nothing. I think the worst I've had is 5 or 6 stitches. 6) I know how to use an abacus 7) I've been on 4 of the seven continents (but figure I should end life with that figure at 6 of 7) 8)I've gone 150mph in a car 9)I love most things Japanese or having to do with Japan 10) I've never been arrested or had anything more than traffic or parking tickets.

Only 10?
1)I Live one mile from the house I grew up in. 2) The phone company issued me the same home phone number that was in the house I grew up in (number generated at random). 3) My wife and I were born in the same hospital a year apart. Our birth certificates are signed by the same people. 3) Shortly after graduating, my elementary school, middle school and high school all closed. 4) I hate apricots and marshmallows. 5) I’m compulsively punctual. 6) I’ll try pretty much anything. I don’t mind risk taking. I’ll reschedule work at a moments notice to go off “adventuring”. 7) I MUST take a shower after I get a haircut. 8) I’ve had a lot of different jobs; Construction worker, auto mechanic, doctor. 9) I cannot STAND unsolicited advice. Never could. I hated parental guidance as a kid. My mom says I was impossible to “parent”. I was pretty independent. 10) My Porsche was a gift from my best friend. My son has his first name and his son has mine.

Good Thread:
1) I was born in Havana, Cuba 2) Married to a Swiss Girl for over 13 years (16 years together). 3) Have a pair of twins (Matthew and Lauren; 4.5 years old). 4) Aunt was a psycholigist and periodically tested my intelligence. Always came up over 145, although heavy drinking in college probably erased most of that. 5) Love Chocolate, but shouldn't since diabetes runs in the family. God's funny little joke. 6)Consider Cars to be a vice but recognize it is a HUGE part of who I am. Love working on them, looking at them, driving them, reading about them, going to F1 races (ALMS as well), etc. 7) Still think the 70/80's were fantastic. 8) Love to travel (specifically in Europe). Might explain why I married a girl that speaks german, french, italian, english, spanish and Russian. She is also fluent in Latin... 9) Consider myself a loyal American and wish the World knew what a great country this really is. 10) Love life, and look forward to every single day. Just as happy on the sunning in the French Riviera as being in a pub in Newport watching a basketball game!

1) I have the same eye prescription in both eyes.
2) I have been married (and faithful) to the same woman for 19+ years. 3) My Carrera IS my mistress. ![]() 4) I prefer reading the news in a news paper vs. on a computer. 5) I tend to be a perfectionist. 6) I work on Porsches for a living. 7) Sometimes I hate my job. ![]() 8) I like to do yard work and gardening. 9) Drinking good wine is my only bad habit. 10) I will need a valve job in my future. (leaking mitral valve)

1) We named our daughter, Arden, after my mother, the best person I have ever known.
2) My wife is smarter than I am but I’m more cunning. It works and I’m lucky. 3) Water is my element, on it or in it. 4) I hate bullies, both intellectual and physical. 5) The written word is sacred and honored. 6) I met my best friend when we were both poor. We aren’t now but we are still best friends. 7) Being shot at is not nearly as frightening as the prospect of it happening again, soon. 8) If I hadn’t been able to hit a curve ball, I wouldn’t have gone to a good school…I took full advantage. 9) I hate flying when I can’t touch the sticks…hate it. 10) I’m restless…I like to go and see things.

1. I don't play psychobabble games.
2.l ditto 3. ditto 4. ditto 5. ditto 6. ditto. 7. ditto 8. ditto 9. ditto 10. ditto Now, imagine yourself in a lifeboat or a bomb shelter with the following 10 people.... It's about democracy. The situation demands that 9 others decide whom to sacrifice. Then 8 others, etc. Just hypothetical, you understand... Gee, does this remind anyone of "values clarification" in high school? But then, the teachers didn't call it that... Isabo? You just learned how easy it is to get the USA population to "spill their guts". You see, back in screw-all, it was a lot more "fun" to talk about "feelings" than to learn math, proper sentence structure, etc. Is this a great nation or what??? ![]()

1) A couple years ago I saw God, and he was really pissed. He told me "your time is up" then there was a countdown, and then I passed out.
2) My mother-in-law is a narcissistic sociopath, and is not allowed on our property. 3) I bought the first house I ever looked at. It's my dream house, and I will never, ever move. Ever. 4) I rarely meet a person I don't like. I'm like a dumb dog that way. 5) I really like dumb dogs 6) I was once described in print like this: "He was a fly-by-the-seat-of-his pants renaissance man. He did things on a whim. He ate things on a dare. Barnum and Bailey could have charged to see him" 7) About 10 years ago I worked with a girl who was the kindest, most sincere person I had ever met. Years later we crossed paths again, and now she's my wife. My wife is the center of my world 8) Part of my wedding vows were words of wisdom from Moses, posted on this forum 9) In 1999, after a night of hard drinking and a dare/bet gone wrong, I ended up registered in Montreal's prostitution database. A friend took a picture of me in a short skirt & pumps, leaning against the cop car. 10) I've been attending university on and off since 1995, and should graduate -according to recent calculations- in 2009

Is it paradoxical that pwd72s, who does not play psychobabble games, has told us more about himself than anyone else who posted?
