12 volt cooler refrigerator recommendations
I am tired of running for and paying for ice at the track. Any suggestions for a good cooler? I understand a 12 volt fridge will be $400 or more, but 12 volt "coolers" are +/- $100. A Coleman 40 quart can be had for even less. 1 review said this device was not cold enough.

You cant make ice with them. Most are peltier coolers. You are better off getting a ice chest with a high quality seal to try to keep the ice you bring longer.

ARB (the off road company, famous for their lockers) makes an awesome 12v fridge/freezer. It costs around $600, which seems like a little more than you are willing to spend. I've heard nothing but good things from this unit.
