How to deal with Crack Whores and Meth dealers?

Seems like everywhere you look in my neighborhood all you see are crack whores and meth dealers. I don't live in the best part of the valley but it's a long way from where you'd expect to find this element to the extent that it exists. The few occasions when we've had to call the cops they seemed less than interested in the concerns that are being voiced by the property owners.

20 years ago the San Fernando valley was the opitame of wealth and prosperity.

When I drive through Van Nuys to get to Performance Products, I have noticed how much the area has changed. I used to cruise Van Nuys Blvd in the late 70's when I was a teenager and it was quite different. It seems that there are no white people and a huge Arab-Armenian-Indian element there now. Glendale also changed radically in the 90's. I dunno, it definently isnt anywhere as well taken care of and resembles a different country. Over by TRE it seems to be going down hill. There are day laborers/illegals everywhere. It makes me sad to see what some foreigners have done to the California landscape, Just a toilet!

Used to work in Glendale. If you're not Armenian, you're looked at weird around there. Nice people when you talk to 'em, but it's still weird to feel like a stranger in your own country if you get more than 2 blocks off Brand Boulevard.

It's dangerous, but have you considered filming a few transactions?

Have a pow-wow with your neighbors and local police to get more patrols in the area. Any schools nearby?

and do a hand out?

or, find some high powered acid, and hand that out, in 1000 ug doses... might enlighten them about their own will to live and find some resolve to stay clean ( doubtfull for the meth crew though)
if anything , it should be entertaining, especially if you and some neighbours dress up in a variety of monster costumes and work to facilitate the right , edgy setting for the ordeal...

They would not be there if there were not customers coming there to support them.

If calling the police does not help then contact your local DA or city councilman. Also talk to the other business's in your area and band together. One phone call is nice, while 5-10 are MUCH better.

If they are not interested then tell the DA that several of the local newspapers have asked about using your location to film news stories and wonder how they would feel about it?

You know, I think Singapore (sp?) handles the drug problem well.

Dealers are executed, users locked up.

Is it any wonder that Singapore has a very small drug problem?
