Lubemaster and the rest of you Texans

Hey Mike,

Just left you a voicemail.

Gotta bail on lunch tomorrow.

My client made me a very nice offer this afternoon and they called me about an hour ago to tell me we have a deal.

Need to go into Grapevine tomorrow to work out the contract.

So bad news is no lunch. Good news is I'm moving here.

Saw some great stuff in Bridlewood today, house backing the 9th hole, what's not to love.

Also some good stuff up by Ed Hughes.

Thanks for the advice on areas to scope out. You were dead on in terms of what we'd like.

If I get done in time I'll give you a buzz and maybe we can hook up for a quick bite.
Scott

You mean spring and fall feel like summer. Summer is one of the nine circles of hell. I think somewhere in the middle.

If you prefer being close to downtown, there are some great old houses in Near East Dallas that are pretty affordable (compared to Park Cities). We'll have to do another coffee GTG soon.

Scott,
Good to have you!

The DFW area has one of the lowest % chance of house prices falling. You are buying at a great time.

Looking forward to seeing you and the Mrs in July.

Yep, will concur with Lubemaster. Lots of new stuff sitting, and older homes not selling. Check auctions, some nice homes being forclosed on too.

I'm going to try to get in, sign papers and go.

Can't blow off the client. They heard that I was moving to Florida and asked me to move to Dallas instead and work for them full time.

Sucks because I have another client in Dallas that I had a meeting with in the morning that I will now have to not only cancel but also resign the account. Client 1 and 2 are competitors and working for either one full time is a conflict of interest.

All you can eat sushi sounds good.

I should know my schedule by 10:30 ish and will call Mike and update.

Scott

The area where Lube lives is very nice. I lived in Flower Mound, Carrollton and Grapevine and they are nice as well but if I had it do do over again would move futher out of town.

If I had the cash I would move onto a little ranch just west of Argyle - 7000 sqft with pool, 4 car garage, 150 acres for the 10+ beast stable, 2 ponds, barn and tractor garage, Live Oaks, Post Oaks, Pecans spread around rolling fields, 1/2 mile private tree lined lane.

Anyone have 1.4 million?

Mmmmm...beef and all you can eat. Fogo is good eats fo sho. Let me know when you are in the area. I have a wacky schedule. I always am home on the weekends though.

If all goes well, we may be stripping down the targa this fall for a re-finish. Ever pull an engine? Tear out some inards? we'll make a party out of it. Really depends on the publication date and the projected revenue as too how nutty we get.

Fella's,

I understand some places arnt as humid as others in Texas, I do travel to San Antone to Kelly USA Airbase (Across from Lackland) frequently to Mod C-130's. I like Texans in general and would like to move there also if there was just a little less humidity. Hows Dallas weather wise?

Bob

Lived in West Texas for a while. The further west you go - drier. The further East or towards the gulf - humid.

North Tejas isn't bad - The further south you go the worse the humidity. It does get hot but this year we have had rain which has helped.

Tejas has too much to offer at too good a price - we will never leave.

Lately DFW has seemed like Seattle. Been raining an awful lot, but not all day long. It's a grood thing though, our lakes were really low.
