Small video camera..sholder, eye glass or helmet mounted, wanted....

OK....I'm tired of getting cut off, fuched with and whatever while out on my road bike. I can carry my Airlite .357 and can defend myself.

BUT.....

I would LOVE a 2 to 3 hour real time LITE WEIGHT recorder like an IPOD with a reasonable resolution camera (not like a Paris Hilton video).......if I go down hard....I want a high rez shot of the azzwipe and his license plate.....

Is there anything out there yet?

I just bought my second one of those. First one broken because the power button needs a good, hard push.

I went out yesterday and did some driving around with it. I'll work on converting the video so you can see how it looks. I don't think licens plates are looking good with it, though.

I use a viosport cam in my car with a Archos recorder, enough room to record 80 hours of video. The smaller one will hold 40 hours.

OK. Video converted and uploading. I shortened the video to illistrate how close one has to be in order to read the license plate on a car. I gave this video a whopping 1.9Mbs bitrate, so there's basically no compression...recorded in 640x480 resolution.

Video is Here

WHile this camera is surely the easiest (and probably least expensive) solution, the video quality is not great, and the audio quality is downright terrible. But, it is a lot of fun regardless. I have both this one and it's predecessor.

I'm seriously looking at the Archos recorders lately...

Hey, I though the Archos recorders had a proprietary connection for the camera input? From what I understood, they can only be used withthe Archos helmet cams?
Not true then?

+1
Tried mine today, no awards for quality, but easy to use and fun to just stick just about anywhere (on the car, you perv's). Double speed so I don't look so slow
