Dave Hillman, 1939-2007
Just wanted to pass along this very sad news. The 912 community has suffered a great loss with Dave's passing. My deepest condolences.

yes - he did run the 912bbs
Deschodt-
Yes he did own/run the 912bbs. I edited my post with another link to point that out in case folks did not know of the connection. I noted his passing when I went to the 912bbs for my daily fix. -Joe |

Very sad. Dave was great guy and dedicated enthusiast. I first met him several years ago when he volunteered his car and help to adapt some products to the swb 912s. He will be missed.
My condolences to his family.

My condolences as well. Perhaps Heaven needed a good Mechanic.

He rode BMW bikes (in fact was killed on his bike in Colorado) and was a fan of Leica camera's, not to mention Porsches. Sure sounds like a nice guy and he just retired to enjoy life. Dammit, it makes me realize that we need to have more fun every day as opposed to retiring then doing what you want to do. We never know when God is going to call for us to make the final journey. There are enough 911/912's in heaven that he can putter with them to his heart's content. RIP my friend.
