Well Shaun, your world-renowned legal mind may differ with the career and political folks at DOJ and the WH counsel, but they are the folks who advise any sitting president. Whom else should he aks for advice? PPOT? Do you deny that every president has the absolute power to pardon? Or just the ones you don't like?

let me put it this way. If Bush's legal team were Porsche mechanics, they'd adjust your valves and change the coolant on your 993. And after you paid them happy with the service, they'd recommend upgrading the torsion bars for better handling at the track. 19/24's maybe? Sure.

Well, if they had the power to adjust hydraulic valves, add a radiator and torsion bar suspension, that'd be a lot more incredible than simply having the Constitution on your side.
