Situations that could easily be misinterpreted......

So a fella flies in from Utah to buy my SC. We meet in the SeaTac airport parking garage. He looks everything over, all good, deals done. He hands me $10,900 in cash. We part ways, and I head into the terminal to wait for my wife to pick me up.

Well, nature calls, so I hit the bathroom, and decide to enjoy the luxury of the huge handicap stall at the end. I had not counted the cash at that point. Gent seemed like a straight shooter. It seemed like a nice solid stack of C-notes, but given I had some time, I figured I might as well count it. I notice one of those baby changing stations on the wall, so I finish my business, get up, and use the changing station as a counting table (don't worry, it was poop free).

As I am counting out $100 bills into $1000 stacks, it occurs to me that I have my Smith and Wesson .38 J frame holstered under my shirt. I also have my license plates off the car sitting next to the stacks of money. And it occurs to me....if a cop opens the stall door at this exact moment , what is he going to think? "Oh gee, nothing unusual, just an armed guy with $11k in cash and some license plates.....and GOD DAMN does it stink in here...."

I have a permit for the gun, and all the paperwork on the car....still......why do I have a feeling that might be a rather LONG conversation with the nice officers?

When I sold a PS3 we bought just before Christmas, for cash, I bought one of those counterfeit detection pens....

Still got it, if you want to use it.

By the way, I should drive over to your place again some time so you can take a closer look at the Ghost.

We could do that. Might require a call beforehand to remind me. I tend to forget things like that easily.

I always count at the scene if I'm the seller, will have to other guy count if he's the buyer. Easy to be one over or under.
