No, Marsee makes the teardrop bags. I'm talking the crazy overpriced BMW ones.

Americans and their spending habit is as predictable as the sun's rising. If it's cheaper, we'll buy it, and expect the same inexpensiveness from here on. Plus, major American manufacturers can't be expected to revert back to overpaid union wages or high manufacturing costs now that they've had a taste of cheap labor from overseas, and, in some cases, more profit. We could do better, but at what costs: 1) Keep American companies from manufacturing overseas; demand they manufacture in the U.S. 2) Abolish unions. 3) Let the Chinese economy overheat and implode.

Regardless, $60 from a Chinese website vs. the $280-$300 from the dealer sounds more like dealer gouging than global economics.

Yes, dealers GOUGE!!!!! No question. Just tonight I needed some special rubber bushings for my 993 shift coupler. They are big bucks at the dealer, maybe $20ish per piece, must come from German, etc. Instead I went to K-Mart and bought some rubber hose seals for $1.99 for a 10 pack. Same size and material.

My Callaway Big Bertha 5 wood and my Cleveland Golf C11 58 degree wedge were made in China! I discovered this after I purchased them recently at Galaxy Golf in Albany. That was a surprise, especially for high end golf gear.

I started to think about when the last time someone in the west was killed due to bad food or shoddy products, off the top of my head...
E Coli from domestic meat and produce Firestone tires blowing up on Fords Mad Cows from the UK others?

The workers live in huge buildings on the factory grounds. Huge 5 story old buildings, they live 5 to a room. Conditions are pretty much what you'd expect in a Chinese mass production factory. The scale of the operation, and what they get out of each worker each day, is amazing. |
