Do you Believe in UFOs?? Have we been Visited?

Anyone else catch Larry King tonight. Interesting panel concerning UFOs, their existence and skepticism.
Buzz Aldrin was on, along with the ex-governor of Arizona, and a few other guests.

The most intriguing was listening to the ex-governor talk about what he saw that night in March of 1997, during the floating light show. He saw a giant wedge-shaped craft floating across the sky, along with hundreds of other people.

so what do you think? have we been visited? Do you need to see a body or more empirical scientific evidence to be sure?
I for one, think it's very possible but highly unlikely.
we are about 200-300 years away from space travel. (imagine living in that period!) . In the 5 billion year history of the universe, surely some other intelligence out there has figured out how to hop from one solar system to another.

I think we have - as yet - not been found. At least not by any alien species that has any interest in us.

And we're very fortunate in that regard.

My personal $0.02 is that any alien beings that found us would either (1) find us uninteresting and primitive/misguided or (2) a potential threat due to our warlike and violent tendencies - which must immediately be eradicated.

I'm open minded about aliens, ghosts, the loch ness monster, and saskwatch/yeti/abominable snowman/etc..., but I'm very skeptical.

I'll have to see either some extraordinarily concrete evidence or witness something myself before I'm convinced.

Of course there are unidentified flying objects, right up to the time they are identified.

I believe life exists elsewhere in the universe, but I don't believe earth has been visited by extraterrestrial life just yet.

ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE!

In the late 80s I saw something in V.A. I will never forget. I don't care what anyone says or thinks. I saw what I saw and thats forever. I believe...

Yes. I believe something has been here, might possibly be here, or will come back sometime in the future. It'd be truly unfair to the universe (and us), if we were the lone beings.

The real issue is Larry King: he's horrible.

I saw his topic, guest, then promptly switched to ESPN to watch girl's softball.

Personally I am a firm believer. I have to, being a hard core Darwinist. If I believed in God I might have been able to buy the statistical virtual impossibility that Earth is the only inhabited planet in the whole Universe.

well in my travels dragging my a$$ across the hinterlands in the middle of nowhere az. we came upon something that without a doubt has occurred in the past................

unit 2 along the az./new mexico border is a non traditional elk area. azgfd opened it for the first time to elk hunts years ago. place is swarming w/antelopezzzzz. about 6 of us got drawn for cow elk. so along w/all our helper bees and family members(kuzins) we mozzied on up to hunt.

this area is used by elk when the southern escudilla mtn range is snowed heavily, elk move north to warm their lil feetzies. most everyone had quads to get to the outback.

on about the 4th day mi amigo and i decided to take the jeep after not seeing any elk and sneak up on antelope while looking for elk and take pics. soooo.....we grabbed our howitzer camo netting and cut a coupla holes in it to see thru jeep windshield. just picture CJ-5 covered in camo. very effective for sneaking up on antelopezzzz.

well we were soon bored to tears of that. no one had seen any elk along w/us. we decided to go to really rugged area called the rincon. huge chasm of rocks. major water flow at one time many moons ago. lots of juniper/oak. as we were 4 wheeling thru this grass meadow where water once flowed, we came across this rock out cropping that had flat faces on it. just picture streambed w/rocks on both sides and they have been eroded over time.

we were literally blazing our own trail, no nothing/no evidence of any ranching,no fences..........nowhere as it gets. we stop simply because of boredom and to eat our MRE's. mmmmm-yum!

while screwing around looking for nothing we walk up to western side of rocks and spy some ancient drawings from the "SPIRIT WORLD"!

they were yer typical antelopezz humping antelopezzz indian porn, deer doing there thing, a corn cob kinda thing, bows/arrows, indian stick figures and others that all of you have seen when cruising the south west spirit world.

but the one that led us to drink..................a SPACESHIP! i swear to god! round with a coupla lines like antenna coming out of top! this pictograph was about 8" wide and maybe 4" tall. of course we had no camera w/us so all of you think i'm yanking yer chain.
but we saw it and it was to say the least..........AWE INSPIRING!

now to us who see these all the time and actually do stop in areas where they are found on a fairly common basis, just to look and maybe learn from these drawings, we were stone cold amazed at what we found. as we continued along rock face we next come upon some stick figures that appear to be "SPACEMEN"! holy sh!! we are now looking around for the mutha ship to arrive any moment and scoop us up and impregnate us. or we impregnate them. your typical national inquirer "i was abducted by aliens" gig! which i being yer typical demented sex starved male was hoping they were BLONDE AMAZONS WITH (3) breasts and they were going to have their way with me. cool i thought, these miller lights sure can make the imagination blossom!

so anyway to end this w/out being accused of bullsh!!, we left this hollowed area with a fer sure feeling "that THEY are out there" !

now think about this.........if these ancient indians were drawing spaceships and spacemen, what the hell inspired them to do this????

yep i figured some of you would think we were eating peyote. that wasnt the case. and even if the indians were, what was the impetus for their drawings. they had to have seen something to get the idea before they started drawing on rocks.

hhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm??????

I'm pretty open minded and gullible so I believe it more than I should.

I've never seen anything but I was talking to a girl at a party several years ago. It was late and everyone was pretty lit. It was just the two us talking and somehow we got on UFO's. Her demeanor changed and she told me the story of her being parked with highschool boyfriend and then an instant later they were both covered in dirt like they'd been dragged. It's been several years so I'm missing the main parts of the story, but what was weird was how convinced she was that something really happened (besides getting drunk and raped which is obviously what you'd think after hearing the story.)

I have seen a UFO not once, but twice. I was with another person one each occasion and they saw the same thing(s).

And, no, I do not have hard, CSI-like swab of alien DNA evidence.

I will tell you that I was far from Area 51

No matter how low the probability of an event, there is always that probability. Therefore, nothing is truly impossible. Have I seen things in the sky I cannot identify? You bet. And I am a lifeline amatuer astronomer. "Unknown" does not mean that it will remain that way over time.

I'm with Steve on this one.

Re: People from other planets visiting us... I don't have the numbers at my fingertips but the nearest planet that could possibly have life is many light years away, how they would get here is problematic. Exceeding the speed of light is all very well in star wars and star trek but in reality it is a very hard nut to crack.

I do believe people see things out there... just not convinced they are from another planet.

I will get back to U on this as I am still putting the pieces of the puzzle together?

I listen this story and that information and put it into the file always testing the picture it presents to see how it all fits together.

The one story that gives pause was chronicled in the Interupted Journey. which was the story of an interacial couple that were abducted in the early 1960s in NH. She about to be released by the aliens, saw a Star Chart with Lines connecting them. She asked about the lines and the Alien replied that was the places they had visited and traded with. The upshot is that one of the Stars in the Star Chart wasn't discovered until 6 or 7 years after the abduction.
