a reoccurring dream...

For years and years I have had a reoccurring dream - sort of. Good dreams, bad dreams, the situation changes and the people I am with - but the setting is pretty much the same.

So last weekend I go up-state New York...

As a kid we would often stop by a restaurant on our way to or from the country place.

Then for years it was either shut or unappealing. I had not been there in 25 years at least.

Last Saturday night I found myself there with friends. The new owners have turned it into a first class place and it was a flood of memories from my youth..

So I excuse myself to go to the head and bam! Walking down the corridor is a side room with a fireplace. It was the room from my dreams!

Maybe it was the wine - I was not sure if I was dreaming or what. Sent me for a loop to say the least. How can this little room, a place I had not been in years be be stuck in my subconscious (or whatever) for so long? Very, very strange.....

I have had similar things happen in my dreams, I went to visit my friends at my old Brooklyn loft last week. Most of the time my dreams are better than reality.

sounds like the definition of deja vu. i hate most of my dreams..they tend to make me anxious, whereas when i was younger i always enjoyed them. and to sleep in a hot room will give me nightmares.

Actually, come to think of it, the other Clinton probably has the exact same recurring dream.
