cool, overpopulation control is a side benefit of the reduction in dependency on foreign oil and reduction in emissions.

People who buy SUVs often cite this reasoning — they're looking out for their own safety. Problem is, they're doing so at the expense of those riding in the lighter vehicles they crash into.
Cool. Premeditated manslaughter. As Porsche owners, we should all be very sensitive to this. It's not just about smaller efficient cars, it's about smaller fun cars like ours.

JP, your Cooper is way too dangerous for you to drive. I'll come by and get it so you can be much safer.

LOL! You have no idea how dangerous that car is -- a five gallon gas tank at each of the rear corners! Brakes that provide mere velocity adjustment suggestions, a solid steering column, seatbelts that are purely ornamental, a passenger compartment that is the "crumple zone"...

But thanks, guys, for your concerns for my safety! Whoever takes the 930 has to take the Aprilia and quad as well. That's a danger trifecta right there!

Well, not all of my Porsches are street legal, so I need my SUV to get my race car to the track. Most of those who get run over by an SUV desrve it, it never fails, I have the Burb loaded up for a track weekend, trailer loaded and some a-hole jumps in front of me without even looking Maybe if enough of em die, they will learn to look & not jump in front of us It's getting old scraping the paint of some hybrid off the bottom of my Burb

Why, do you weave in & out of traffic or pull into the fast lane 20+mph slower than traffic?? If so, you should be.

Byron:

I have never been (thankfully) in an accident nor have I been ticketed since I was 27. . I am retired and drive about 3k per year. I will be driving even less since my wife died.

To wish damage or death to someone else is something I will never do. To drive an urban tank just to feel safer is also something I will not do. I have seen too many people in such vehicles doing dangerous things while on the road, most likely lulled into a false sense of security because they are surrounded by 6,500 pounds of vehicle. "Why bother following the rules? I'm safe up here!!"

I too follow the rules, but I also do a lot of driving to track events and have had to lock up my brakes more than once because some idiot jumped in front of me without any regard for my safety When I'm driving, as I appoach onramps, I always move over when I can to give other drivers a clear lane, and even when doing this, I've had peoplestill jump across lanes
It's not like you can't see me either.

Hey, if you have a legitimate need like Byron, and if you realize that your massive rig is not a Porsche, and drive accordingly, there's no reason for anyone to complain.

Of course, stuck in the passing lane behind a pickup/trailer who's just pulled out because he's going 1mph faster than the semi in the driving lane... that'll drive you to evil thoughts or worse.

Well Jon, I watch my mirrors for upcoming traffic no matter what lane I'm in and move over when a faster car coming up or speed up until I can get over, doesn't matter if I'm in the 911 or Burb.

Animals yes, but there are many abortion poster children that liberals feel the need to take of of with our tax money instead of letting nature take its course
