I think you'll beat the shyt out of him at the craps table then have a wall built around his house...

on point, I would be concerned.

I have never been a big drinker. Rarely to excess. I like red wine, beer, good whiskey, don't much care for scotch.

Pabst

I bought a six pack once and couldn't drink it, poured it out.

I wonder if that's why bars have bartenders...so it's impossible to drink alone :)

I have recently had a big spike in my drinking.

Typically, I'll have some beer or wine when doing car work or house work. It's just one of those things I like to do. Unfortunately, once summer vacation began I was doing car/house stuff every day, which meant that I was consuming far more than I should.

Typically, my pattern is that I'll either have a beer or two or I'll have 6-8, with the latter occurring once or twice a week. But right now I'm trying to shed a couple pounds so I'm going to just stay away from anything significant for a while. Or at least drink lower Calorie booze. ;)

BB.

Just changed jobs. This place does a lot more of the big lunches with booze. If not the classic three-martini lunches, it is still too much for me. Customers, co-workers, industry functions - always something going on. Trying to beg off and not go out during the day. I much prefer a drink or two in the evening..

dhoward 07-20-2007 06:05 AM

I only drink if I'm alone or with somebody.

KFC911 07-20-2007 06:07 AM

...and limited to weekends and weekdays?

dhoward 07-20-2007 06:20 AM

You have to draw the line somewhere...

But it doesn't HAVE to be a straight line :)

Not enough information.

Crikey, if drinking a half a bottle of wine makes you a drunk, then I'm beyond hope.

She might weigh 100 lb.s wet. And, if this is on an empty stomach, I can see her being a bit high. Under those circumstances, I can see the husband getting miffed. She should moderate or quit.

Na, his game is Black Jack and we did discuss our next gaming trip last night, Hard Rock in Biloxihttp://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...s/beerchug.gif

Argh, I wish I would listen to my own advice. Last night I started out on sangrias (sp) and ended up on pinot noirs. I'm sure that pretty young Mexican waiteress was impressed with my Spanish - why do I have to do this.

herr_oberst 07-21-2007 06:45 AM

This is probably too much information, but I'm pushing fifty, and about 9 years ago I finally came to the conclusion that I had consumed my lifetime allotment of beer. (I never got into harder booze)

The hardest part of quitting is the social thing - most everyone drinks a little, as shown by this post, and most have no destructive or abusive issues with alcohol - that just wasn't me, and I finally accepted it, and my friends are fine with it too.

I like the extra money, too.

targa911S 07-21-2007 06:53 AM

When I quit drinking I basically gave myself a $100.00 a week raise.
