Yes, radar detectors are still against the law. I've heard a lot of stories about people carrying them with no consequences -- too many false signals on the police radar detector-detectors, police who aren't interested enough to stop someone for a radar detector, etc. OTOH, my actions belie my faith in those stories: my Passport is stowed until I leave this god-forsaken cesspool.
