It is the fluoride!

I am beginning to suspect that fluoride is the reason today's children are largely crazy, including my own. Because of fluoride they have perfect teeth - NO CAVITIES. But the neurological effect is atrocious.
Is it possible the totally un acceptable behaviour in my son is being caused by the effect of fluoride?

Interesting info, but I'd like to see detailed footnotes/endnotes to each of those claims made on the website. Sure, there are links to different studies, but I would like to see each individual claim backed up.

Whereas it is true that "kids" are getting "crazier" as far as diagnosis is concerned, I believe it is far more likely a result of trace amounts of all the Prozac, Zanax, Ritalin, etc. that has made its way into the public water supply in the past couple decades (and, no, I don't have an endnote to back that up, unfortunately - if you want more info on this I can dig something up). You see, artificial pharmaceuticals are designed specifically NOT to break down, and the public water supply's filters were never designed to filter out said substances.

Sure, a trace amount of a pharmaceutical might not do any harm if it is ingested once or twice, but consider the results if it is consumed every day with every glass of water, coffee, tea... you boil your pasta in it, you shower in it, you water the crops that you eat later with it. Eventually, there might be some long-term consequences

So what's the solution? Drink bottled water? Sorry, Jack, that might even be worse, because when bottled water is exposed to light, the chemicals from the plastic bottle leach into the water itself. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I did not read the info, but long term exposure to all the chemicals surrounding us on a daily basis cannot be good for anyone.

I don't think it is such a stretch that all these chemicals we are exposed to could have a negative affect on brain developement in our children.

Does your child eat a lot of chicken? The steroids used in poultry these days is very likely to be causing "rage" and general misbehavior in your son. Not to discount fluoride mind you, as that is also a likely cause of childhood disobedience to be sure.

There may be other causes like his upbringing, parental stability, traumatic events, etc..but those are longshots.

Hmmm. My son drinks water with fluoride. He eats lots of chicken, yet he is well behaved and excells at school. Maybe he is immune or maybe he is just a good kid.

Don't look for someone or something else to blame.

"he is just a good kid"

I am happy for you. I have a daughter who is a good kid.

She drinks the same water my son does, or at least did. We use filtered water now.

For those who are "laughing" at people who have concerns about fluoride -- get something into your head!

Sodium fluoride is a deadly poison.

Spend a little time researching how much it takes to kill an adult human; then start calculating how many tubes of tooth paste or gallons of tap water it takes to accumulate a lethal dose.

(If you do that research, and have young children around the house -- and have half-a-brain -- you'll treat your tooth paste the same way you treat prescription and over-the-counter medicines.)

Heck, just read the label on your toothpaste and ask yourself why it says to "contact your poison control center immediately" if ingested in a quantity larger than that used for brushing your teeth?

The risks from sodium fluoride is not something to laugh about; whether you're talking about ingesting a potentially lethal dose or ingesting small amounts supposedly to "help" your teeth.

Competentone,

Of course, and I don't let my kids drink antifreeze.... I think that the present state of reality and time has more of an effect on a person than a reaction to flouride.
