Then again I just showed this to two women and they both said "tell the wife" and let her handle it. With that said - maybe you should ask some chicks rather than a bunch of car dudes.

If the step daughter is old enough to have a grad. degree, why is she living with you?

OK..lets play that out. You tell wife...wife talks to dtr...dtr denies it because she's embarassed....mon confronts hubby and defends dtr....dtr gets PO'd at step dad. Don't laugh. It could very welll happen that way.

And, my, won't Thanksgiving dinner be fun this year?:D

Don't tell the wife, that's just stupid. Why in the world would you want to cause problems like that? Dumb.

Just say no. What's the problem?

svandamme 07-25-2007 12:11 PM

sounds a lot like that Jerry Springer/RingMaster thing... does the stepdaughter look anything like Jaime Pressly??

give Jerry a call, might get some money out of it

pwd72s 07-25-2007 12:11 PM

Send her to Joeska for "counseling"????

Rick Lee 07-25-2007 12:14 PM

I'd be happy to "counsel" her myself. I'll even do it for free because you're a Pelican brother.

fumanchu 07-25-2007 12:17 PM

First of all, don't tell your wife.

Have the daughter catch you doing something that turns her off....

Kind of similar to getting rid of a woman you're not interested in any longer. The best way to leave them is to get them to leave you. But, maybe you want her to be interested in you (ego). You may have a real quandry brewing in your head.

I have a feeling its you with the problem or like the others said there wouldn't be one. You're attracted to her and its starting to scare you. If you weren't it wouldn't bother you a bit. Like a girl friends flirty fat friend who wants you but you can't even picture hitting it.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Select last night. SmileWavy

English major! ZING!

OK, seriously, just send me her number and I'll show her a time that will make her completely forget dear ol' step-daddy even exists. SmileWavy

So a three way is definitely out of the question right?

Just checking.;)

I was headed in that direction.

It took me a long time to figure out that not every friendly girl was interested in me...and sometimes my mind was presenting a more rosy picture than what was really happening.

There was a girl I asked out three times over four years in high school...and was turned down all three times. We were friends but we each had different interests in the relationship. Years later, shortly before my marriage, she told me that she had decided that I was the right guy for her. I decided that she had had her chance and continuing to socialize with her would cause me more problems than I was willing to risk. I haven't seen her since.

On a serious note...

Another vote for having "the princess" move out.

Superman 07-25-2007 03:48 PM

I think I can help. I'd be happy to buy the young lady a few drinks and sort this all out.
