And what, you can't work it out?

If you hit it once, you're gonna want to hit it again and again and again..... If you are one of those guys that can hit and still have a cup of coffee in the morning with the wife and still keep a straight face then go for it.... Me, I would probably want to do it, but everytime I saw the step daughter afterwards I think that I would feel guilty........ and I think my conscience would not allow me to keep the relationship normal with my wife....

Can any thread not have personal attacks?

Anyway, I discussed this over the weekend with my two best friends and the female friend that brought this up in the first place. All are close with me and my family. Talked to them separately from her. she still stands her ground, and says I'm blind .Well they kind of agree with her. One flat out agrees. he swore there was something going on but didn't want to say anything. I told him I was really pissed that he would think that , and he should know me better.
My other bud agrees too. But he says that it is just that my step-d has just gotten very comfortable, because she really enjoys being with me, since we have allot in common. We do allot of things together and get along so well. He doesn't see any maliciousness in her behavior.

Which is pretty much the way I feel about it and will continue to.

Once again, there will be no hitting!:D

Humbert Humbert, I sugest you stay away from Lolita (the book) and the girl. Ever read "The Yelow Jersey" ? I read it in Jr High, The dude has a girl friend in her thirties and sleeps w/ her daughter who is 17 or something... I was kind of aroused by that when I was in the 8th grade. Anyway I know some hot 20 yr old chix who LOVE to just mess with your mind. I know your ego doesn't want to belive that but belive that. It will help. She is just messing with you w.o.serios intent.

Just be glad it isn't your stepson getting all cozy.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about imo. Even if I am totally wrong about the "innocence" of your step daughter, as they say, "it takes two to tango", and as long as you "do the right thing", there will be no "tango".
...or, you could just "hit it", and start another thread with pics :)!

I'm sure your decent fellow, but your ignorance is telling of you.

Apparently, you're under the impression I profess to be perfect? Hypocrisy exists when one claims to live a certain way lives otherwise and does not see the difference. I claim to be imperfect, leading an imperfect life and painfully aware of my own shortcomings.

See the difference?

You may be aware of a game called American baseball. If you were in the stands supporting a team and a batter, doesn't matter which side, strikes out do you yell hypocrite? No, of course not that would be an ignorant thing to do.

What I gave was totally unqualified but good advice and yes we all would like to see how bad a temptation this guy is under.

So Doug, when hitched tells his wife "this little slut's got to go 'cause she's wantin' the bone," how do you think Mrs. Hitched will respond?

Not when, If. And no, he shouldn't tell her.

If he does tell her, then my guess is she will defend her daughter, blame hitched, and hitched will be singing George Thorogood's "move it on over."

Mule 07-31-2007 06:49 AM

You told him to run her off. Pick a side of the fence. What's his excuse, I've got a 25 yo Ukranian exchange student I want to move in in her place?

john70t 07-31-2007 07:04 AM

Sounds like daughter thinks you're "taking away her mamma", and is afaid of leaving home/childhood behind.

Mabye the two of you could sit down and casually ask her about her future plans in life.
She will get her walls up, but keep saying that she is welcome to visit anytime, and how proud you are that she has such a close relationship with her mother, and that you hope she will accept you as a surrogate father.

john70t 07-31-2007 07:16 AM

If you call her out in front of the wife, you will be the cause of breaking up their relationship.
Then, the daughter will be looking to get back at you at the first opportunity, and any future arguments with the wife may lead to her bring out "it's all your fault" feelings. Bad news.
Give the daughter a way out gracefully and let it blow over.

Another vote for "act dumb and do nothing"
It is a tried and true method that has worked for men since the beginning of time. :D

John70, there is no reason to have toss her out. Things aint that bad!
We've never had even the slight bit of trouble at all between the three of us
(including my stepson), in fact its the total opposite. If you read some of my previous post. , I stated that she has her act together. If anyone is headed in the right direction in life, it is her. Recently landed the job shes dreamed about. After busting her ass in college for the last seven yrs. Has no desire to be at home, after all she lived on her own for 4 1/2 yrs. Works full time, is in the process of finding a place of her own because she cant wait to get out.

Did someone say, Ukrainian exchange student??

Actually would rather have one from say, Venezuela. Like that dark hair, olive skin better.;)
