Ultimate 911 Favorite Driving Music CD
OK- Our music preferences are all over the map. Perhaps we could go one step further. Each poster who wishes may nominate ONE song for the Ultimate 911 Driving Music CD.
Each poster may also veto ONE nominated song if they wish. But it takes three vetos by different posters to remove a song from the "CD." If a song is nominated twice by different posters, it takes 6 vetos to remove it, etc. This might turn out to be an unwieldy gemish, but what the hell my engine doesn't need rebuilding at the moment. Think carefully.......nominate just ONE. For this, my choice would be IN MY CAR (Shania). After we've collected the opinions of the Group, perhaps a CD burn could occur....

paul butterfield blues band "east/west". haven't heard it since the late 60's, but that tune made driving an experience back then.

that culture clashes with the under 30 crowd rap lovers imo. Hey John.. check out "right as rain" by Tommy Castro for a done deal.

Let's try and keep it simple and unambiguous RoninLB. Is that a veto and a nomination, or just a comment ?

![]() When I get used to it I'll probably pop in one of my favorite cds, Queens of the Stone Age. Great driving music. |

Just one?
OK, use your cruise control, crank it up loudly, and listen to In- a- Gada- da- Vida by Iron Butterfly. If no cruise control, try to hold the speed steady, ya can't. I gotta throw in Autobahn by Kraftwerk, is a close second. Will also say Radar Love was a great answer (close third?). I have others also. Queen and some Hendrix cause momentary lapses of concentration. Just one though! I'll stick to my first (was also my first concert to see, somehow I remember it to this day). Be carefull with this info, and don't try it in traffic. Ya gotta listen to the entire long version. Sometimes boring (kinda) and sometimes intense. But not easy to REALLY listen to and hold steady. And I'll admit, not something to endure often. Too many choices!!! I have all my favorites on an MP3 and have not listened to all of it yet (in the last 1500 miles). |

I can't decide between nominating Thunderstruck by AC/DC or Crazy Train by Ozzy. Both songs makes me wanna downshift and stomp on the gas.
much love... Jojo

Electric ladyland-Xtown Traffic
Not my first driving song pick actually, but I got a speeding ticket listening to Crosstown Traffic on my way home from work today, so it qualifies. And I wasn't even driving the 911, which i usually am and would have been really clipping along this stretch. I was in my 270K mile old 89 Montero just chugging along, grooving to Hendrix, 65 in a 50, oblivious to the county sherrif zoomin up my tail.
