204mph (Faster than the turbo)
530 bhp.
505 lb-ft

I remember the heat that Porsche took in the U.S. for selling the original 930, because it was so dangerously fast. This thing makes a 930 look like a garbage truck, performance-wise. I guess that the legal climate has changed, you'd think that it went the other way.

Intresting that they kept the displacement at 3.6

and wonder if I can fit one of these to a regular 3.6??

do want!

serge944 08-03-2007 12:28 PM

I don't like the nose - the one on the gt3 is MUCH nicer. Still one bad car.

Aerkuld 08-03-2007 12:35 PM

How am I ever going to afford one of those? At least it will give me something to shoot for as the next upgrade after I get to upgrade the current 996 for a Turbo.

That video was like the intro to a new made for TV movie like "Knight Rider Reincarnated" or something...

The new 911 GT2! Remortgage required!:(

(i want one):)

I don't like the 997 Turbo/GT2 nose treatment either... especially if you see one parked side-by-side with a Carrera or a GT3.

I dunno. Despite the ridiculous HP on the GT2, I'd rather have a GT3RS

pwd72s 08-03-2007 04:11 PM

I'll keep that model in mind for the next time I want to outrun a police chopper...

Not a problem. Most people are only ever going to see the back as it gets smaller and smaller

livi 08-03-2007 08:28 PM

I donīt even have the talent to explore my 3.2 to itīs full potential...

speeder 08-03-2007 08:49 PM

Yup, as R&T said about the Ferrari Daytona in 1969: "This car will show its tail lights to anything you can bolt a license plate to in the world..."

Plus quite a few airplanes.

mikester 08-03-2007 09:00 PM

ooooo - that green is nice.

I don't like the tail - because of that alone I will never ever buy one.

I think that is the most amazing Porsche I've ever seen. Give it up people, stop being so critical. Of course we love our SC's and such but c'mon, give credit where its is due. Bow Down!

Bow down? To something the latest hot 'Vette would blow off on the track? Both of them H20 cooled? Hardly!

speeder 08-04-2007 05:39 PM

Which 'vette would blow it off on the track? This I'm dying to hear.

Next Gen Z-06...to be announced soon...Problem is? It's (z-06) used price will soon reach much lower levels . Top of the food chain today is all to soon yesterday's has been. This, a pretty foolish game to play when one pays six figures plus for a car.
