The ultimate customized '65 Porsche 911

Hiding under all that fiberglass is a '65 911. This "running" example is listed in the Hemmings classifieds for $4000 if anyone wants it.

The good Dr. Porsche would have been proud:

There is a 1971 Targa with silly fiberglass bits at a used car lot across town from me that has been sitting for over a year. I looked at it once, thinking of returning the body to a stock configuration, but it has a bit of visable rust, so who knows how much more lurks under the fiberglass. No thanks.

I know a sucker is born every minute, but, seriously, shame on the fiberglass merchant who built molds to turn out that stuff. Actually, maybe some of those parts were re-purposed fiberglass boat components. What's with that huge diagonal piece?

The stretch 911 limo is actually much easier to deal with.

To steal a bit from Dilbert the other day.

We're going to dig up Dr. Porsche, and wrap him with copper wire, put him back in the ground, and replace his headstone with a large magnet. That car will cause him to spin so fast in his grave we can generate lots of electricity.
