				Red Bull Drinkers

2 questions: Have you noticed a slight decrease in taste and effect recently? For you regular drinkers, have you noticed any habituation? I drink about 2 RB's a month and always get the kick I need. Last week I've had 2 and neither has done much and tasted weak.

Shaun, I'm about to have one right now. I'll let you know shortly. However, I must confess that I don't think I drink it regularly enough to be able to notice a taste change...now if they changed Sam Adams... Check back soon.

please do report back. I just polished off a Sam Adams Heffeweisen and am working on a Cream Stout. best thing about Star Market self-checkout is you can mix and match your own six pack. Cherry Wheat is on the deck. hope CA is treating you well, I'd do anything to get out of MA.

not so sure Scott. I think Sam Adams has sold out. So far I've had a cream stout, heffeweizen, cherry wheat and a black lager. the only one I'd buy again is the black lager. Cream stout: boring Heffeweissen: lackluster Cherry Wheat: swampy (this has been one of my top 5 beers for along time) Black Lager: rich, full, good stuff. I discovered a great way to treat myself tonight (been working a lot recently) and found that cooked shrimp on special at $6.99 a pound, half pound is 18, 18 big shrimps! cocktail sauce mixted wtih extra hot horseradish and beer. Gooooood stuff!

I don't know about Red Bull - don't really drink sodas of any kind - but I can chime in on Sam Adams. As far as mass-market beers go, it's one of the better companies. Actually, the taste is probably as good as it will get for a beer that's produced in such huge volumes. The only problem I can think of with Sam is that there is a better example of just about every style that they brew. For example, I think their best style is the Octoberfest Seasonal, but at most liquor stores in New England you can buy Thomas Hooker's Octoberfest, which is a FAR superior beer. That being said, in most chain restaurants, Sam Adams is probably the best available beer.

I can add to the Red Bull comments (have some Sam Adams experience, but only as a amateur!) I work for the largest Red Bull distributor in the US (World). The taste seems to be very tempature sensative. If it is stored or held at a higher tempature in the warehouse or on the store it seems to alter the taste. You may also have noticed the new 12oz tastes a bit sweeter. This is produced in a different plant, although the formula is the same! All that being said, try it with Skky Melon flavored Vodka!!

I drink 2 day, on a bad day I will drink 3 or 4. I have not noticed any change. I have noticed over the years that taste and kick will change from batch to batch. I buy by the case and I have noticed changes here and there. I think you may have got hold of 2 bad cans. I have had this as well. BTW- I hate Sam Adams I refuse to drink that beer. I prefer local Micro brew beers if I want something different.

It all tastes a little better than tonic water to me. Add vodka if you need a little something extra Honestly, I prefer the Blue Agave flavored Full Throttle Coca Cola product. I also prefer Abita to Sam Adams. | ||

Careful when you drink more than two. There's a lot of Niacin, Vitamin B 12 and B6. You can damage some of your internals.

Sam Adams light is about the best light beer you can buy (for us fat guys). The other offerings are mostly decent, but nothing ground-breaking. As for Red Bull, I stick to coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

you should have a Celi's White(Beer from Austin, TX) if the opportunity ever comes up. Sort of a wheat beer, pour it in a glass and it gets opaque, hence the name

Of the many wheat beers I've tried, Boulevard Wheat (from KC) is still the best. Around these parts it's even on tap.

Read a study a couple years ago which indicated Red Bull was somewhere around 11 times worse on your teeth than a coke. I used to drink a lot of diet pepsi's and my dentist suggested I have a couple gulps of water after the soda in order to rinse my mouth as he was starting to see the impact of soda's on my teeth. Also used to be a big fan of coors light until my first night in Germany. In the states my favorite is Franziskaner. No matter what, brush yer teeth
