Cleaning slide photos
What is the best way to clean slide transparencies w/o damaging the image? I need to scan some old ones.
Water, Windex, WD40, spit? |

I would try a VERY soft lint free cloth to start. Like this:

It will evaporate quickly, not leave residue. Just not sure if it's safe for the plastic used in the slide. Last thing you want to use is something abrasive like paper towel. |

Use Eclipse cleaning fluid with Pec pads. Blow off residue with canned air (careful not to tilt the can) Use a scanner with digital dust removal (does not work well with b/w or Kodachrome).
