Porsche Panamera 4-door sedan spotted cruising in sunny California !!

I just saw this report on another site. I think the car looks rather pleasing compared to previous renderings I have seen.

To each his own.
But in my personal opinion...

Looks like a Lexus or an Infinity, at twice the price I would imagine.

I hope that's camo cladding. If they try to do a four door hatchback, I'll go over to germany and kick Wiedeking in the nvts.

Now that's funny Jgordon! Got a good chuckle out of that visual.

indeed it does have cladding to conceal the lines somewhat

but it is clearly a Saab -- ooops, I mean a 5 door hatchback

it'll make a great station wagon substitute kiddie-mobile -- just wait for prices to hit the $20k range -- and with the looks we've seen that may not take long.

it might also be something we can mine for parts...

I've been accused of snobbery with my old 3.2 coupe but the sensibilities and visceral thrill that I get from driving and owning this car don't seem to be present in the marquee anymore. Trust me I want to believe but I think the company is trading on it's past. Just one man's opinion.

Porsche is a business, and just like any other successful business, they have to make money and do so wherever the market dictates success. With a seemingly lucrative market in high performance sedans, the Panorama could hardly be called surprising. Presumably, Porsche wants to take some market share from the M5, CTS-V, S-500, XJ-R, etc.

Now a person can have his or her sports car, tow vehicle, and family car all in one marque -- if desired!

This newbie's opinion also.

Anyone buying a new Porsche who thinks they are buying into the rich tradition of Porsche evolution and doesn't see/accept/realize that Porsche has become just another car manufacturer out to make a buck/survive, is deluding themself or has been successfuly deluded by Porsche's advertising agency - APPLY DIRECTLY TO YOUR STATUS, APPLY DIRECTLY TO YOUR STATUS, APPLY DIR..........

I'm not convinced that photo is authentic. Zoom in close on it and there are some very strange things with that image. Photochop?

Sadly, I see more modified Cayenne than uber sedan. I'll have to be persuaded by some serious stats to stray from the E65 as a future ride.
