OK - I am one sick little puppy - I admit it
![]() I have finally got my way and we managed to secure a set of Eibach springs for my VW Multivan. Check these babies out next to the crappy Pedders ones with the stupid poly-air bags that I cannot wait to throw in the bin. Car was delivered with the Pedders ones as a "suspension upgrade" - god forbid! Nice and progessive; should work a treat with the Konis we put in a while ago. These Eibachs are so pretty (see I am still girlie ![]() We did draw the line at getting some suspension bushes made though - she's getting new bushes front and rear but we thought custom ones for the Mummy-mobile might be a little over the top ![]() Can't wait to take the ol' Bertha Van for a spin - good excuse for a family fang in the twisties out the back of home - more fun than shopping for a new outift that's for sure ![]() ![]() |

I am not familar with "family fang" and "pedder", but I agree that Eibach makes a nice product, I put an Eibach spring and shock lowering kit on my wifes Audi A6 and it went from being a big fat wallowing pig, to a somewhat sporting ride.

Tim,
Pedders are an Australian chain of "suspension" stores. Their stuff is lousy in the main but they market well and appeal to the mainstream buyer. They make shockers and springs, none of which I would ever use by choice. I was almost going to get some springs made for the Multivan which would have been a major pain as finding someone who could make that design of spring isn't easy. Would have been without the car for a lengthy period too I would think as they would have needed my springs for sample. It's hard jamming 3 kids and all their stuff (guitars, sports bags etc) into anything else. We thought we would try our suppliers to see what they could get in springs and it turned out there was one set of Eibachs in the country. In round figures I think they cost me about $400 Aussie and I reckon they are a bargain! We've done a fair few things to make the Van handle better, all of which have improved it immensely. The bushes are all worn after several years of hard driving, big loads, towing etc so just replacing those will make a difference. The springs for me are the icing on the cake. I have always felt as though the Konis were doing all the work in the rear; not the springs. I drive the family car just as hard as I drive my Porsches so it needs to perform (within its big brick-like capabilities of course ![]() Good to hear that the Eibachs made such a difference to the A6 - thanks. Family fang = "spirited drive with very willing kids" ![]() |
