This thread shouldn't ever happened. As you wisely put; "Conjecture based on speculation grounded in supposition arising from hearsay, etc." Yet, it's one more opportunity to imply . . . to promulgate the notion that we (US & Bush) are too war-like. . . too provoking in this "peaceful" world. ANYTHING to pile on, is the game. ( perspective is lost.) This blame-Bush/US bandwagon is running wild. |
Bush? I blame Apple. My $200 probably went towards this fiasco...
And you're right, this thread should never have happened. We shouldn't really question or think twice about what the govt and military are doing...or even doing away with conspiracy theory, how 6 nukes could "accidentally" get put on a plane. It's all good :) |
"I'm sick and tired of all these m***f**kin' nukes on this m***f**kin' plane!"

Letīs see. Three possibilities.
1. Extraordinary blunder. Someone getīs spanked in public. 2. Planned all the way to end up like it did. Message ? Political intentions ? 3. Planned as far as a secret transport but unfortunately uncovered. Why ? Not sure which is worse. |

Well, my bad then -- I obviously thought it was yet another liberal knee-jerk reaction to "Conjecture based on speculation grounded in supposition arising from hearsay, ect." Maybe that was Just from Supe. |
Fellas
Ever hear of phys ops? This is an intentional and calculated blunder to let Iran know that nukes could be in the equation. Its just a shut the f_ck up and behave to Iran. The disinformation would be secret and never come anywhere near a reporter. This was planted to disrupt the status quo. IMHO America wouldn't use nuclear weapons again unless we were targeted and struck first. The Israelis will! Bob |

But yeah, I have NO confidence in our current "president" to deal with this effectively. I want to think he's smart enough to notice that the United States does not shoulder primary responsibility for a military response. Nor do we possess the most effective capability of handling the military option, if one must take place. I want to think he will not take that hand-off from Israel. I want to think he's at least that smart. Or that responsible, in terms of protecting his nation's security. But I don't. I don't think he's that smart, but I think he has advisors who potentially are, and I think he's not as arrogant or reckless as he used to be. But unfortunately, I also believe he places WAY too much weight on factors other than national security. In other words, I think he's not only capable, but also INCLINED to place my nation at greater risk. It's a terrible conclusion, but I think he's earned it. |
Isn't that psy-ops?

Like shoving a rolled up sock in your pants a Saturday night to let the guys at the local disco know what they are up against competition wise ?
Works for me. Boys will be boys. Whether itīs fake dicks or real nukes. |
In my industry, and everywhere else, we play the same games we first learned on the playground in Fourth Grade. Stealing lunches. Making alliances. Spreading misinformation. Pretending to be tougher than we really are. Figuring out how to address the bully problem. Et cetera. The only difference now is that we are taller, hairier and we have deeper voices.

\ Seems to me that the mess we are in is based on conjecture and misinformation. So, what makes this any different? With so many twists and turns in the "logic" for war, no one knows the truth, if there is any.I have arrived at the point where I cannot trust anything I read or hear that comes from Washington. Can you? |
I read this thread yesterday and chuckled all the way thru it.
Went into work today to catch up on some paperwork. Including my subscription to Jeppesen for my world-wide coverage of every airport, approach, runway, and enroute segment. Out of all of the updates I installed in my books was one that caught my eye. The ENTIRE country of Iran changed all of their charts. Every runway approach, every enroute segment, every overflight airway. It's called an ATS realign. Last one I saw for an entire country was Iraq right after the invasion. Before that? Afghanistan. Before that? Argentina's Malvinas Islands. Before that? The island of Grenada. Your guess is as good as mine. These world-wide database updates were posted for release on 9/04. |
Hey guys, come on, Bush says the surge is working. As loyal patriots we should stand behind our leader. If he wants to start a war with Iran, he must have a some knowledge about the situation that us normal citizens don't need to know, or could never understand. Just have faith, if he wants to start pushing buttons, well, he is the boss and what he says goes. He truly deserves the support of the masses right now. Hail to victory the faithful chanted.

Oh, btw, even the uber-lib Katie Couric (CBS) believes the surge is working. http://wcbstv.com/topstories/local_story_247203227.html I don't mean to confuse you and your knee-jerk Bush bash with you knee-jerk belief that anything out of the Lib-media is true, but . ... okay, I actually do mean to confuse you. :D |
