Recomendation for online background check needed ASAP.

I need to pull a background check on someone yesterday, and I'd like some opinions on the various online sources available.

I'm looking specifically for known aliases, previous spouses and every record of criminal activity.
There's a link to a company directed from Zaba search, and at $49 seems reasonable, but I would like to get as much detail as possible and am willing to spend whatever it takes.

Any recommendations?

Is that website Intellius, by any chance? I've done some searching for screening resources, and it seems like they have a corner on the personal-information market.
Anyone know if they are a "quazi"-governmental organization, and how they obtain their information? If the information is from the government, then it should be free through a freedom of informatin act because collecting it was paid for with tax dollars.

Same thing with CarFax. Why do they get access to DMV records, and not the general public? Their profits aren't going back into the general fund on any level.

Yes, Intellius is the one. I'm going to go ahead with them and see what I can find.

Intellius is good for the $, especially considering the timeframe in which you need the check completed. As a follow up, check with your state police. Here in CT, anybody with $35 can request a State Police Records Check (SPRC) thru the Dept. of Public Safety. Takes a few weeks, but this would give you an individual's "official" record.
