"When you're pushed, killig is as easy as breathing"

anyone see the new John Rambo trailer with Stallone?

pretty violent stuff. no wonder our society is so messed up. violence everywhere..the media, movies, television. we're all being desensitized to it.

livi 09-13-2007 04:52 PM

Not another Rambo. The first is a classic, the rest...well..

Some how I canīt imagine Stallone playing successfully as somewhat elderly. Eastwood yes, but Stallone..

And I completely agree with the desensitized part.

Rick Lee 09-13-2007 05:35 PM

Another sequel? I can't wait to not see it.

legion 09-13-2007 05:39 PM

Does he fight Mr. T?

Hoot! Me too...

Hollyweird has become really weird lately. They seem to think the public will buy whatever KRAP they turn out. I hope others here agree with me.

They kind of did the same thing in the mid-80s too.

Which explains why Tom Cruise was so popular then...

azasadny 09-13-2007 05:48 PM

I wouldn't waste my time with that garbage...

Joeaksa 09-13-2007 05:51 PM

Ho Hum.... Sly Stalone must be low on money. Would rather watch the History or Discovery Channel than Rambo 16...

I remember seeing a preview or something for it several months back actually.
I have no desire to see it.

Most people are, I think it contributes to much of the crap that we have these days. But not everyone is desensitized. I'm not. It's out there, but I don't really care for the super realistic stuff. I don't watch boxing or UFC.

I guess there's a reason that I'm an aikidoka.

More wisdom from rampo!

tabs 09-14-2007 03:35 AM

I saw it and left a comment...The begining wasn't bad..where Rasmbo agonizes, but the shootem up was way over the top especially with that 50 BMG blowing people apart. Just am tired of that cr@p.

Rambo's so old...I hope it was decaf! Let's see, including the original, how many have I not seen...

wow, i see that you have mastered the art of using large red lettering.

Tim Hancock 09-14-2007 06:09 AM

Hmmm, IIRC, I kind of liked the Rambo movies and would probably rent a new one when it comes out on DVD. Besides, if On-Ramp does not like something, there is a good chance I will. ;):D

I can't expect too much more from a bunch of greasy sports car "mechanics"

nostatic 09-14-2007 06:41 AM

does it hurt much?

rammstein 09-14-2007 06:50 AM

I am going to reserve judgement-

Rocky VI scared the hell out of me when I heard it was coming out. I mean, Rocky I through IV were all awesome. Then came V.

I was suprised that Rocky VI was well thought out, decent, SHORT (hollywood got way out of hand with the bladder-busters lately), and good. Not a top ten all-time kinda flick, but one where I didn't want to kill people afterwards.

Rambo I is pure gold. Rambo II was a notch down, still great. Rambo III was pretty bad. Hopefully IV will get it together.

And if OnRamp thinks it looks bad, its definitely an endorsement.

scottmandue 09-14-2007 06:56 AM

I'm waiting for it to come out on late night TV.:D

Are we desensitized? He11 yes! With porn and death/torture being broadcast 24/7 I worry about what sort of freakish children will be taking over the world in a few years.

it's a sad state for our society... we are starting to lose sense of what is right and wrong.

rammstein 09-14-2007 07:05 AM

Tell me about it- the other day this guy from craigslist was supposed to come pick up my computer and he never showed up! I also keep getting messages from people who don't punctuate anything. The world is going down the toilet.

stealthn 09-14-2007 07:41 AM

What's the theme, he goes into a roid range and kills everyone? Totally agree with the writing these days, it's like they can't even think of anything but a sequel, or bring back some movie that has been made before.

You're just coming to that realization, what a brilliant revelation!

You mean like a blow job in the oval office is NOT sex? He did not have sex with that young lady?

Oh yea, Craigs list and right and wrong... When are you going to get a sense of what is right and wrong?

What is that supposed to mean?

rammstein 09-14-2007 08:45 AM

It means that he is better, more enlightened, and has a superior sense of right and wrong due to his occupation versus that of a 'wannabe mechanic'.

Son, words like this and you will be cruisin' for a bruising shortly. Next Pelican event you attend bet you will be the hit of the party!

This is getting good... and hope you can take your head out of Craigs List for a while and enlighten us how we are supposed to act in the future.

widgeon13 09-14-2007 08:58 AM

I think it's from the veggie diet.

I don't expect he'll be showing up for *****.
