"When you're pushed, killig is as easy as breathing"
anyone see the new John Rambo trailer with Stallone?
pretty violent stuff. no wonder our society is so messed up. violence everywhere..the media, movies, television. we're all being desensitized to it. |

Not another Rambo. The first is a classic, the rest...well..
Some how I canīt imagine Stallone playing successfully as somewhat elderly. Eastwood yes, but Stallone.. And I completely agree with the desensitized part.

Hoot! Me too... Hollyweird has become really weird lately. They seem to think the public will buy whatever KRAP they turn out. I hope others here agree with me.

Which explains why Tom Cruise was so popular then...

Ho Hum.... Sly Stalone must be low on money. Would rather watch the History or Discovery Channel than Rambo 16...

I have no desire to see it. Most people are, I think it contributes to much of the crap that we have these days. But not everyone is desensitized. I'm not. It's out there, but I don't really care for the super realistic stuff. I don't watch boxing or UFC. I guess there's a reason that I'm an aikidoka.

I saw it and left a comment...The begining wasn't bad..where Rasmbo agonizes, but the shootem up was way over the top especially with that 50 BMG blowing people apart. Just am tired of that cr@p.

Hmmm, IIRC, I kind of liked the Rambo movies and would probably rent a new one when it comes out on DVD. Besides, if On-Ramp does not like something, there is a good chance I will.

I am going to reserve judgement-
Rocky VI scared the hell out of me when I heard it was coming out. I mean, Rocky I through IV were all awesome. Then came V. I was suprised that Rocky VI was well thought out, decent, SHORT (hollywood got way out of hand with the bladder-busters lately), and good. Not a top ten all-time kinda flick, but one where I didn't want to kill people afterwards. Rambo I is pure gold. Rambo II was a notch down, still great. Rambo III was pretty bad. Hopefully IV will get it together. And if OnRamp thinks it looks bad, its definitely an endorsement. |
