Apple browsing

Not long back gave up PC's for a change of scene, and went to the dark-side
with a mini mac.

I Browse the internet, download a bit of music
thats just about it really.

WITHOUT wishing to upset the natives here, using the Safari browser I've not yet encountered any unusual or erratic behavior beyond Pelican's Search feature.

Each and every time I push the little button the browser closes down without fail

please lets not get into yet another platform argument I just want to learn how others have gotten past this problem,

thanks as usual in advance

Richard UK

I use Mozilla Firefox as a browser and it works great on my Powerbook G4, I don't like Safari.

It won't take more than a few minutes and the problem will be resolved.

Richard:

I am able to search Pelican with no problems.

Safari Version 3.0.3 (522.12.1); and
OS X 10.4.10

That formula works, FWIW.

Best,

Kurt

I'm a bit opposite widgeon13 - I just prefer Safari.
While I love the extensions for Firefox, I'm much more used to Safari and it "feels" better to me.

If you'd like to give the Safari beta a try, download Safari 3 here.
Also, check out Pimp My Safari (and PithHelmet in particular) for all your Safari plug-in needs.

I used FireFox for a long time and now I'm back on Safari for the last several months. I prefer Safari as well. Seems quicker and plays well with .Mac and iPhone.

YMMV.

Best,

Kurt

I just updated to 3.0.3, and now I can type in color.

Wayne - Thanks for the tip on Safari 3.X - I just downloaded Firefox yesterday so I could use the search function. I prefer Safari and now I can use it!

Camino is the fastest, but the latest Firefox is nice.

What's this "Internet" thing I've been hearing about some much lately?

And is this the "IPhone" you're talking about?
