Li-Ion Battery

My wife had one of the cam corder batteries in her pocket and just ran it thru the washing machine.

Toast? Yes, no, maybe?

Wait a few days till I'm sure it's good and dry then try it?

Thx,
Scott

IMO, If you think water has entered try to pry open with a wide blade screwdriver. Then dry the batterys and any electronics inside.

If you puncture that battery with a screw driver it will not be pleasant.

Knowing how lithium batteries can do bad things I would just toss it and get a new one. Be sure to NOT toss it directly into your garbage but take it to Radio Shack and give it to them for recycling. It's a fire hazard and since it's been through something it should never be through it should not be trusted.

+1, do NOT open the Li-Ion battery.
