newb laptop question

What componant is this?
The door has a "C" on it.
The memory door is the closed one in the center. It has an "M" on it

If it helps it's a dell inspiron 5100

Pics a rather blurry, so it's difficult to tell. Could it be a wireless NIC?

It's more than just wireless, you can use any mini-pci card in that slot, blue tooth, etc...
