If the orders aren’t written accurately then don’t accept them, that starts the ball rolling. Agreed on not fighting for yourself as an individual. The question then becomes one of doing what’s right for your Sailors and Marines and where does a field grade officer stop accepting less than is due to those under his command? Avi8torny, A big part of the problem is waiting to the last minute to get the seats when the request was routed more than a month prior. Then they decide to slide schedule and buy a non-refundable ticket to save some money. The new schedule doesn’t work and either cancel the trip or buy another ticket that ends up costing the government X times more than it would have originally. You are talking about OSA aircraft. Unfortunately they have been painted purple and from my perspective not used for what they are supposed to for and by whom. Snowman, I would rather fly in a Herk, C-141 or C-5 before international coach. They all beat haze gray and underway though. S/F, FOG |
