Sorry, didn't see that you were already on board with the snow tires.

Audi Quattros are unstoppable in the snow. We had them growing up, always with snow tires too. The only thing that will stop you is ground clearance- if the snow gets over a foot on the roads, it will start pushing snow with the nose.

To say they are BORING though... man, if you wanna have some fun, drive a Quattro in a blizzard and swing through a big parking lot. WEEEEEEEEE!!!!! The E-Brake becomes a fun lever!

Reliability aside, the Quattro's are winter perfection.

Haven't had the pleasure of trying a Subie in the snow. Bet those are great too.

She'll be going back and forth from roughly White Plains to Teaneck, so the GWB and Tappan Zee bridge will main routes. I know how sloppy the Tap can get, and the visibility is terrible too.

PV, that is not gonna be a good route for her(traffic thru Yonkers is bad helix is bad it is just horrible in the am), better would be to go over the TZ (free in this direction) into Rockland and then down the palisades to 95..Teaneck is right there, the traffic is much less even considering the palisades goes onto the GW. There is a short cust to the avoid the traffic and come out right off Grand ave in englewood from 9(w i think) and that will put her right into Teaneck via route 4(i used to meet my boss in Teaneck ate the marriot, so I had to find all the non congested ways to get there)
also get on the TZ traveler discount plan with ez pass and it will save you nice $$ over the month. Also tell her to gas up in nj, itb is normally 50 cents cheaper here
