A Few Pictures from Petite Le Mans

You guys really missed out on a great day. I managed to meet up with "911 in SC", aka Mike, for five minutes. Enough to say hello and have a quick chat. The rest of the day was so busy walking around the track and checking out the cars in the Porscheplatz.
Thought I'd give you a couple of photos of my favorites.

Wish this was my office.

My kids liked this (shhh - they don't know it doesn't have a back seat)

The owner had a nice story to go with this car. Wish I could have had it for what he paid for it.

"Should have got a Porsche" - I really wish my kids wouldn't shout things out like that...

It might not look like it, but he did have a great time.

He even took some nice pictures of his own.

I'm sure he took this one too (that's my story at least)

Great pics Mark. It was cool meeting you and your family. Of course, post more pics! I know you took a couple more than this...

I went Friday and could not make it Saturday. Beautiful track and awesome racing. Can't wait to drive that track!

More pictures...

Mike (911 in SC) and myself (on the left of the photo). It was a bit loud to have much of a conversation but I hope to get over to SC next time you guys have a get together.

Mike's 911 - at least it sounds like the one he described. Very, very smart!

My boys loved watching the cars racing at night. There's something very cool about cars racing in the dark that I just can't describe.

I liked this plate;

My little lad liked this too, and he thought Audi was the only one with a diesel.

I think he was suprised to learn that Porsche had made tractors.

Again, Mark, great pics. You guessed it - that's my lil' Carrera, in all her glory

I have to agree - watching them go from day to night is indescribable! Too bad the Spyders couldn't hold the lead, but at least it wasn't the Acuras that beat them out! I still can't believe how quiet the R10s are. The TDI's simply are a great engineering marvel, IMO. Yes, I love Audis too. Sorry...

I'll certainly let you know when we do another get-together. Heck, at the rate I'm traveling now, it may be the first of the year before I can do anything

I uploaded the pics I took tonight but ran out of time to post any. I'll do my best to post some tomorrow night.

Later,
Mike
