OK, I got say it - the Cowboys are gonna give me a heartattack!
OK, I said it. If anyone saw the game last night it was absurd how hard Buffalo tried to lose and Dallas wouldn't let them.
Romo was horrible and TO couldn't catch a cold, Jones was fair. The only upside was the Defense and Falk - his on-side kick and two 52yd FGs were the things of legend. It is rather sad that they are gonna get spanked nasty by the Pats - hay 5-1 ain't too shabby!

I'd rather have a less than stellar team that wins over a good team that loses anyday!
We used to have the greatest show on turf, now we just have the Rams. 0-5.

TO is actually not being his usual cancerous self, but how long is that going to last? If the Cowboys lose a couple of games, and Romo doesn't see TO in the end zone (he's open every play, i hear), he will start bumping his gums.
So far, so good though. Dallas is the best in the NFC five weeks in.

Saw the game last night Romo was horrible. I will give him one thing though. I think the defensive backs were more going for the ball then the tackle. Maybe that was some strategy or I was seeing thing. Also, got tickets to the game vs. the Pats in Dallas. Should be a good game.

Last night's game was beyond belief. I think Dallas is so good, they can have a terrible game and still pull it off . . . although last night they were pushing those limits!
How 'bout them Cowboys!? Best, Kurt |

The Texans kicker nailed a 57 yarder to win it with one second left. he'd already hit two 54 yarders prior to that bomb.
But that Cowboys game was insane. Here's a pretty good recap: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter?season=2007&week=REG5&game_id=29270

The Bills offense was able to put 3 points on the board. Everything else came from defense or special teams. Yes da 'boys tried very hard to lose, but won anyway. It will go down as one of the more memorable Monday night games!

Was it that the Cowboys were that bad or was it all Romo?
I have to hand it to him in the after game interview on the field he pretty much said "Boy did I suck! Thanks to the team for bailing my a$$ out!" (My paraphrase)

The Pats have the #1 Defense in the league. If the Bills defense could handle the Boys, what do you think will happen next sunday?

Romo is becoming a star. Any other QB would have disappeared after 5 INTs (2 of which returned for a TD) and a Fumble. But he managed to complete 9 out of 11 passes, get the team from their half to score a TD and a FG.
Yeah it was a bad game. Yeah Romo sucked, but his calm and poise were incredible in the last 2 drives. The Patriots will give us the measure of the real Cowboys... Anybody know the spread? I'd take the Boys and 10 points. |

So if I the Cowboys lose by 9 I make $120 and if they lose by 11 I lose $1?
Sorry I am not familiar with how these works... I thought it was always 1 for 1 and they gave a spread to a team... |

I'd say that game was a testament to how bad the Bills are. The Cowboys did everything but gift wrap that game and the Bills still couldn't manage a way to win. Sure they are hurt, but all they needed was a few first downs and the Boys lose. If the Bills defensive backs that wouldn't even make most teams can pick him off 5 times, what are better teams like the Patriots going to do to them? If I was a Cowboys fan, I would find little to be excited about that game.

Romo/homo is the most overrated QB in the game. TO is an egotistical bum - his talent comes nowhere close to justifying his ego and constant attention-demanding games. The only reason the Cowboys are 5-0 right now is because they've faced three "blah" NFC teams and two of the worst teams in the AFC - the Bills and the Dolphins. Just wait until they get pitted against a quality AFC team (or a quality NFC team for that matter). They're going to get their asses handed to them. This week or week #13 (against GB) should tell the real story. The Cowboys have one of the cushiest regular-season schedules in the league this year - I certainly wouldn't read too much into the success of Romo and TO. They have much to learn.
I'd chuck TO entirely. Romo has potential, but doesn't even come close to living up to the hype. A couple of years working hard would make him a quality QB, but he's too busy working on his image and banging Jessica Simpson to care - and it shows in the end product.

Last year the Cowboys made it to the playoffs and lost to the Seahawks for that stupid mistake on the FG.
Last year Romo got in halfway through the season and got the team together. TO is an egotistical bum, like any other decent WR (Smith, Moss, Williams, Ocho Cinco etc). Is he the best? No but he's tall and strong and he scores. Miami and Buffalo are not that strong... (funny though that the PATS are in their division and nobody ever says anything abt how easy it is for them to win out), but the Giants and the Bears (in Chi) and not that bad. We'll see this weekend. I remind you that the Cowboys beat the Colts last year. I do not expect them to win... but to put on a good show... yes! |

Actually the money line is NE -230/Dallas +190. This type of wager does not use a point spread, this is betting the straight up winner. In the above scenario if you think NE will win the game you would need to put up $230 to win $100(plus the return of your $230 obviously). If you think Dallas will win you would put up $100 to win $190(again plus the return of your $100).

While you're worried about a heart attack, I'm afraid the 49ers offense might bore me to death. 5 yards net offense in one half? yawn.

P-o-P I believe you are talking about Carrie Underwood...unless I missed something about Jessica Simpson and Romo.
Lifelong Cowboys fan here, soon to become season ticket holder. I went to the Rams game two weeks ago with a friend from work, sat on the 40 yard line, 8 rows behind the Cowboys bench. Now THAT was cool. I don't think the Boys will be able to beat the Pats this weekend, but then I don't think that any team in the NFL would be favored to beat the Pats this weekend either. Romo is the real deal, the game this weekend showed his best attribute, and that is his attitude. The fact that he was able to lead an 80 yard TD drive in the final minutes after having 6 turnovers...that takes some stones. I guess P-o-P will have to be content with watching the stellar football being played by the Raiders, 49ers and Chargers...
