What happened to Ferrari red?

While on a noce drive in the county yesterday, I happened apon a new(er) Ferrari coupe. I'm guessing it was a 360 but then I haven't been following the new cars names lately. Anyway, this thing had a beautiful shape but a really ugly red color. The Ferraris that I'm familiar with have a nice deep red (blue tone) but this was... different. The red was too yellow. Is this the new Ferrari red or was it repainted?

Sorry no pics. I couldn't get the camera out fast enough before it passed.

Probably a 360 or the newer 430. Anyway, besides the standard colors, it is possible to choose almost any color in the book as a special order. Taste is individual.

Standard "Ferrari red", or corsa rossi (?), has not changed and never will. Either the car was a different color or weird lighting.

Rosso Corsa is still alive and well. However, Ferrari Scuderia did change their Corsa color this year to better reflect their Marlboro sponsorship. The new color will probably start appearing on new cars soon.
