It is simply human nature to point out the imperfections in others. I think it is a way of making ourselves feel better. It may not be noble, but it seems to be a condition we all suffer from to one degree or another.
I prefer people with imperfections. To others, my departed wife would have simply been another aging gal. To me, she was perfection personified. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
