Grave markers

I am looking for a web site that will let me design a grave marker for an infant.

I wouldn't buy online just get some ideas to make it easier when we get ready to buy one.

www.granitegravemarkers.com/granite.htm

The sites just do not have much in the way of options for infants.

Chris I found the children section on the Burleson site.

It sounds like there's a very unfortunate story behind this - hope everything is okay.

My wife and I lost one of our twins in March And we still have not put up a grave marker.
Just one of those things that we thought would get easier, but hasn't.

svandamme 10-18-2007 01:55 PM

i think, these sort of things are way to difficult and individual
perhaps the best thing if there is such a thing in these cases
would be to check with somebody who makes markers
and then find out what ideas they can come up with, given a couple of unique items / things that were dear to the infant/child

http://www.plantage-vanzijp.nl/beertje2.jpg

it's so very personal for the parents, that i would think it's a custom job every time

the identity of a grown up, is usually well defined and well known , so the style is easier to pick, but an infant, everything is possible, some like is ultra sober, with just a moving line of poetry engraved, some engrave a picture, or a religious thing...
my aunt lost 2 kids at young age, both graves were abstract modern

maybe there are little examples , because it is such a difficult situation
parents are grief stricken, and will be very sensitive and protective for long times after
and would not be accessible to have their custom made grave put up on display

sorry to hear about your loss

I cannot even come up with the right words here but feel the need to post something. My deepest condolences.

Aerkuld 10-18-2007 01:56 PM

Very sorry to hear that. Best wishes and I hope you find something appropriate.

berettafan 10-18-2007 01:58 PM

God be with you.

For an older person I have seen that persons signature used for the inscription of the name. It will in some way tell the reader a little bit about that person.

For an infant. Perhaps just "we love you."

Porsche-O-Phile 10-18-2007 01:59 PM

Sorry if it sounded like I was prying. I can't even begin to imagine. . .

Sonic dB 10-18-2007 01:59 PM

My best to you and your family Peppy in this difficult time.

peppy 10-18-2007 02:20 PM

Thanks for the links. I have printed a bunch of them to show my wife.
Nothing seems to be enough.

Nothing will. Deepest condolences for your family's loss.

I understand where you are coming from.

A funeral director helped us when we needed it.

You may want to reach out to one.
